<\/a><\/p>\nAs soon as possible, we headed off to rides. Kevin and Kayla went right to X-Flight. They walked right on (usual wait = 45 min +) AND got first row. They both agreed that the first row is a whole different experience on that coaster. Ashley and I walked right onto Whizzer. We were the first people in the park to ride it this morning.<\/p>\n
After that, we got our season passes purchased and then set off for more fun. Right around the corner from Whizzer is Southwest Territory. Ashley used some of her money to play the Pop the Balloon with a Dart game. She hit 2 out of 3 and won herself a Pikachu. While we waited for Kevin and Kayla to be done on Raging Bull, she posed with Pikachu. He is wearing Kayla’s sunglasses.<\/p>\n Next stop: picnic lunch. Right about lunch time, Kayla started to cough a bit, especially if we walked past the smoker’s corrals. The kids ended lunch with an ice cream bar, and Kayla tested to see how her arms compare to Kevin. Check out the chocolate face!<\/p>\n As we continued around the park, we came to King Chaos. This ride spins you around and upside down. I got a good shot of them in the air. Kevin and Kayla are in the back row, 5 people in from the left of the picture.\u00a0<\/p>\n This next picture is for all of you “natives”. Anyone who has lived here for any length of time knew that every Halloween, Six Flags would put a huge inflatable spider on the side of the American Eagle wooden coaster. That spider’s name was Tiny, who survived many seasons, a kidnapping attempt, and had some babies. Well, last season, Tiny sprung an irreparable hole. The park constructed a little “grave” for Tiny right by the Pictorium.<\/p>\n The girls rode lots of rides, and once the sun came out it was a nice 64 degree day. Of course, I was freezing most of the day, but the rest of them were good. Some final shots of the kids in front of the carousel (and the CDW balloon sculpture).<\/p>\n And a cute picture of the two of them.<\/p>\n The only downside: Kayla is coughing a bit now tonight, and it is that bronchial sounding cough.
