Year 5 – Week 2 – Day 3

The boys’ checkup went fine this morning, but four immunizations means one in each limb. Trevor went to school this afternoon and seems to be doing just fine.
Brendan bucked like an undefeated bronco and his shots didn’t go in so easily. His little legs are so super sore, he couldn’t even stand up tonight.

When I dropped off Trevor, I picked up his first ever school pictures! The school and photographer was kind enough to let Brendan come in to get a picture too. These expressions are exactly the reason I have developed my studio at home for taking the boys’ portraits! My picture purchase included a copyright release for online use, so here they are!

  1. Good morning from the Lake House!!! Poor Brendan, what a week he is having!! 🙁 But, I must admit, I am a little bit jealous about that awesome toy!! (I can only hope that Uncle Rich will buy me one after my next procedure!!?? ) 🙂 It has to be frustrating hearing that all looks good with Brendan….but he has difficulty without his trach. Hoping that the answer will be simple and not invasive for Brendan!! Love the school pictures!! (However yours are amazing!!) Hi to Gramma, so happy that she is there with you!!! Prayers, hugs and love!! 🙂

  2. I need a new color cartridge for my printer ! :0 !
As soon as I can get one, I’ll print those pictures.

Sounds like Brendan may need to go off the trach a little bit more each day, even if it means, off until difficulty sets in, back on until stable, and back off again, and so on, so his body can get “re-trained” to normal function…….just a thought, not a medical recommendation.

  3. The pictures are so precious. Had lunch with Patti Lamb yesterday and we could not believe we had not seen each other since the boys First Birthday when we were at your house. You are in my daily prayers ….Brendan is on the prayer chain at church. I hope all the testing he had shows a solution to the problem. Many blessings Tiffanie…..V
