Year 5 – Week 3 – Day 5

Yesterday was Veterans Day, and we wish a very happy one to all of our loved ones that have served. We appreciate you!

In celebration of our own special veteran that had the day off of work, we decided a little road trip was in order. Snow day!

Our little guys dressed up like walking pillows

Brendan doesn’t make snow angels, he makes snow owls.

Trevor says, “Can I lick snow?”
503t04

Daddy made a snowy owl for Brendan. The snow was just not quite packable enough for a big snowman.

Trevor wanted me to carry him instead of trudging through the snow.
503t07

I told him if he wanted me to pick him up, he had to make his cutest face possible
503t08

I carried him to the car

This cutie was happy to be unbundled. I am loving his transition sunglasses.

Lunch at a brewery

It was really crowded when we got there and it was quite loud. Bill was prepared, and the earplugs really helped until some of the crowd left.

We stopped for a quick tour at the observatory.
503bt04

We got there at exactly the wrong time. Most things to see were already closed and it was too early for the night tours. We did get to see a distant star even in the daylight, and the setting sun through their telescopes.

The boys are great road-trippers, and Bill is an awesome driver. Who would have thought that a couple of Arizona boys would be the first ones in the family playing in snow this season?

We want to wish a very happy birthday to Aunt Erin today! Hope it’s a great one!

  1. Happy Birthday, Aunt Erin!
I am very glad that we don’t have snow yet, but it’s coming, no doubt! 🙂
It looks like the boys had a lot of fun. I’m glad that our adventure was to the beach! 😉
They look cute all bundled up in their snow gear. It’s nice they can play in snow on a scheduled basis, and not just because it comes down when it likes!
    Miss you all so much!
    Lots of love and hugs,
    Gramma xoxoxoxo
