I am trying to get caught up.. again.
On Tuesday, Gramma and I took the boys on an adventure that involved staying in a hotel. The boys love hotels and they were very excited.
They did not know that we were going to travel through a portal to the north pole!
We are boarding the “trolley” that will take us through the magic portal.
This is the “aurora borealis power cell” that allows us to jump over 3000 miles in space
We were there to see Santa Claus’s workshop. The boys had to help some elves put together teddy bears.
And they tested some rocket toys
They visited some toy assembly rooms
They stopped in Mrs. Claus’s kitchen for cookies and hot chocolate
They had to attend Elf University and got an honorary Elf certificate
Brendan was still working on his cookie. He ate the whole thing!
We visited the sleigh hanger and saw the control room where they monitor the flight.
Then the boys met Santa and gave him their letters they wrote
We had to go back through the portal to get to our hotel and get some sleep. What a trip!
Wednesday morning, we went to Out of Africa zoo in Camp Verde, AZ. It starts with a safari bus trip through the animal habitats.
We were warned not to try to pet or feed the zebras because they like to bite
But the giraffe wanted snacks. We all had Acacia leaves for him.
Brendan loved the ostriches because of MERC from Miles from Tomorrowland. He wishes there were real robot ostrich pets.
We went to see the Tiger Splash show but the tiger wasn’t really feeling like jumping and swimming.
The boys did get to learn a lot about giant pythons.
They really enjoyed petting it
Give them a dirt pile and they are the happiest.
Gramma had to leave for real this time – just in time to hit some nasty winter weather. We are glad she is home safe.
She just missed seeing Trevor’s class perform their holiday songs
What is Bill doing in the garage?
Fixing the washing machine. It needed a new bearing kit.
I have so much more to post to get up to date, more tomorrow..
The song is so cute. 🙂 It looks like the North Pole was a lot of fun – what a neat thing for the boys.
