Year 2 – Week 45 – Day 1

Some days we just have to put our brains in “auto pilot” and just trudge through the day and hope we make it until bedtime. There was nothing terribly bad nor anything surprisingly good about today. I was never motivated to get the camera out.
Meals, dishes, laundry, diapers, medical care, baths, spills, cleanup, errands, etc..

Brendan did manage to get to 4L of oxygen. Bit by bit, he will hopefully get well. Trevor had a decent morning and a rough afternoon.

Trevor is now sound asleep

Brendan is still being rocked, and is using the pressure from his ventilator to talk and say “Haaa haaaaaaa! Ha ha haaaaa!” He knows he is funny, but we try not to laugh and encourage him.

  1. I hope you get some rest and recharge. It was really nice talking with you today. 🙂
Lots of love and hugs to you all,
    Gramma xxxx

  2. I now know some of the things that don’t get “on the blog” 😉 .
My love has always been there, and always will be. Now, though, my respect is all the stronger for having been part of a week in your lives.
“Auto Pilot” can, sometimes be a good thing. 🙂

  3. I love the butt in the air. 🙂

Even though we don’t see all the tough times, it is clear from what you do post that both boys are thriving. They are so curious, love to have fun, and are developing their own (sometimes STRONG) opinions. You will get through today’s challenges, just as you got through all those that have come before – with laughter, tears, wanting to scream and pull your hair out, feeling like you could just burst with how much you love your boys, wanting to run down the street as far away as possible, then wanting nothing more than to hug and squeeze and cuddle them.

I can’t wait to see the boys again – hopefully not too long from now!
