On a health note, Trevor is doing better. He is still pretty crabby/irritable, but there have been no panicked crying fits of pain. He has taken 3 doses of his antibiotic now, and I have kept up with the ibuprofen. No other symptoms have presented.
Brendan is still super happy and silly and trying to just launch off things and walk without waiting for someone to be there to catch him. There are going to be some bloody lips in his future I think. He was more “juicy” today than usual, so I am nervous for his health, but otherwise he is not showing other signs of illness.
It is hard to believe that the boys’ 2nd birthday is less than a month away now. But when the first birthday gift arrived at the door and it took two people to carry it in to the house…
We have a super big thank you to send to Gramma and Grampa, Granddaddy, Aunt Heather, Uncle Kevin, Kayla and Ashley, Aunt Shannon, Uncle Jon, Kieran, Aunt Erin, Uncle Jules, and Caleb!!! What a big surprise gift from all!
The package arrived while the boys were napping. When Trevor came out from his nap, he had picked up a tape measure from the toy room. It was so funny to see him make a big surprise face and then go measure the package. I think he has officially determined that this is the biggest present ever.

Brendan is going to help put it together too

Brendan seemed to know just what to do. The first thing he did (without any prompting) was to grab and turn the key.

Trevor came back from getting dressed and I said, “Did you come to kick the tires?” I didn’t think he would actually understand me and go do it!

Trevor is a natural too. His little bare foot just BARELY reaches the gas pedal. If he has shoes on, he should be able to drive it

And then the headbutt tackles started.

Peekaboo from the outside was a fun game

Trevor prefers to have it to himself

This was one of those rare situations where the giant cardboard box-fort was fun, but they definitely loved the jeep much better!

I got decals all done after they were done with it today. The battery takes 18 hours to complete an initial charge, so hopefully tomorrow, we can take it for a spin and see what happens!!
Bill is already turning over tons of ideas for mods and upgrades. Very first addition, it needs a real horn! It doesn’t have one!
This is one super exciting birthday present and I am glad both boys were well enough to enjoy it when it arrived. They are going to have a blast with this for a long time!

All of the pictures are super cute! I’m so glad the boys liked their Jeep. You’re welcome, Bill! 😉
I can’t wait to see videos in the near future. I hope they enjoy it as much when it is in action as they did just sitting in it! 🙂
It’s good to hear that Trevor is getting better, and so far, Brendan isn’t sick. I’ll keep my fingers crossed.
Lots of love and hugs,
Gramma xxxx
Good morning from the East Coast!! OMG!!! This post was awesome!! Trevor and Brendan…when you iron out the kinks of driving your fine new vehicle, pack up Brendan’s supplies and head for the east coast….bring Gramma with you too!!!! Mommy and Daddy would like a little vacation!! Big hugs!! Prayers and hugs!!! 🙂
What a cool gift – It was such fun to see their knowledge of keys, pedals and all at their young age. All the post was great but that adoring look Brendan gives Trevor when they are playing share is priceless!
Wow what a great birthday gift for two good boys, Trevor just remember if you are driving and Brendan is your passenger not to go any further than his tubing will stretch. So glad Trevor is feeling better and Brendan still seems healthy.
Has Bill figured out how to put a horn on the Jeep yet? Too bad you don’t live where it snows, he could put a smow plow on the front to do sidewalks and driveways.
Can’t wait for videos of the boys driving their new car.
Brendan, resting his chin on the steering wheel and peeking out through the windshield—-
Trevor, kicking the tire—-
Yeah, boys, I know the feeling 🙂 🙂 It had something in common with the day I got the ’71 Challenger. 🙂
Little did I know, that your Mom, and your Aunt Heather would, one day, take their very first rides home, in that car.
