Year 3 – Week 14 – Day 5

It was a whirlwind day and it went by so fast!
We chased the garbage truck through the neighborhood this morning. Brendan and Trevor both took a long walk seeing the big green truck pop in and out of all the side streets and cul-de-sacs.
Brendan had speech therapy this afternoon and his therapist is impressed with the new sounds he is making. She said that every time she visits, he has accomplished something new and he is amazing. “Really chugging along,” she says.

It was mega nap fail day. Brendan got to bed too late and had to be woken up for his therapy appointment. Trevor was super tired, but just too wired. He was in his bed for a while but did not sleep a wink.
I let him roll around a while, he took the frogs off the wall again and played with them. After a bit, I checked his camera and he wasn’t in his bed! I had to pan around to see where he was.

“Who, me?”

Some relatives from Chicagoland are thawing in AZ this week. We were very happy to see them all! And check this out.. the sewing table can be used for meals!

The boys did a good job at dinner. They let me mostly sit and eat. Trevor got his “too many pockles?” for being a good boy.

Brendan yelled because he wanted one too. I gave him one, and then he yelled because Trevor had two and he wanted two as well.

It was hilarious watching him lick the popsicle, make a twitchy “sour and cold” face, then go back for another lick!

Sweet dessert is on the table!

Beth, Steve, and Glenna wore these boys out. With the nap fail and the very busy evening, they were both sound asleep in bed by 8:30!

  1. Sounds like a much better day. I didn’t know you could eat on the sewing table! 😉
Thank goodness for spy cams! Trevor was a busy boy during his “nap”. He looks so innocent!
Go Brendan! It’s nice to see him eating a “pockles”. I’m happy to hear the speech therapist is impressed with his progress. 🙂
    Lots of love and hugs,

  2. I want too many pockles! (auto correct wanted to make that too many pickles). Spy cameras definitely catch some interested things. We call that “naughty pantsing”.

  3. *a twitchy “sour and cold” face.* 🙂 🙂 🙂
Otherwise known as a “pockle face” 🙂 😉
I got three choices for “corrections”,
Pickle – cockle – and pocket. I guess my computer hasn’t yet learned,
    * BrendanTrevorese * 🙂 😉
