Year 3 – Week 16 – Day 7

We did some shopping today. Trevor and I ran around looking for shoes for Brendan. I ended up getting them each a pair of good sandals. We put gas in the car and Trevor insisted we get a car wash too.

Trevor has become fascinated with the lawn mower and the idea of putting gas in machinery. He figured out how to open the gas cap on the real mower and then told Bill that it was out of gas. He tries to find hoses or tubes and put them in to give it a “refill”.
To help redirect this interest to something safer, we stopped and picked up some lawn mowers. I had to get two in order to avoid the battle that would surely arise. Brendan liked the one that has the poppers like his corn popper.

Trevor was in LOVE with the one that made bubbles

On your mark…. get set….

GO!!!
316bt32

You have to go pretty fast to make the bubbles, but this was no problem for Trevor

Brendan pushed his mower around, but Trevor must have done 150 back-and-forths across the lawn

Brendan is trying out his new shoes. They are very similar to his old sandals, just a much better quality.

Trevor is thrilled to help “put gas” in Brendan’s mower. The little gas can is cute.

I wish I had this much enthusiasm for mowing

He mows off in to the sunset, leaving his trail of bubbles behind him. After dinner, we had to go outside again for another 50 laps.

And sometimes when the moon is full, you can still here the sounds of that rotary motor and the faint pop…pop…pop

  1. The boys look so cute mowing the lawn together. 🙂 It’s nice they each have one to suit their styles. 🙂
It nice to see grass! We haven’t seen grass in a very long time!
It was nice to “go shopping” with you and Trevor today…and even go through the car wash! I don’t know how you shopped, tried shoes on Trevor, went through the care wash, filled the car with gas…AND talked on the phone with Caleb and me all at the same time!! Talk about multi-tasking! 😉
    Lots of love and hugs,
    Gramma xxxx

  2. You will have the best tended lawn in the entire area! What a great way to burn off some Trevor energy! Cute sandals B. =)

  3. ” And sometimes when the moon is full, you can still here the sounds of that rotary motor and the faint pop…pop…pop ” 😉 Yeah, it’s the only way to control the “Werewolf Weed”. 🙂 🙂 :)………go get ‘um “T”, and “Lil B”. 🙂
Seeing the boys with their mowers, brought back memories of pushing that old “Helical blade” lawn mower. I was a lot happier when I got to use a power mower, there was a lot of lawn at the Copiague house. I haven’t thought about that in an age! 🙂 🙂 🙂

  4. Good afternoon from the snowed upon, awaiting more tomorrow, East Coast!! Grass??? Haven’t seen much for a few months either!!! The lawn mowers are priceless!! The boys were having so much fun!!! Thanks for sharing!! Oh, and the picture with the full moon just brought out the smiles!! Enjoy your new mowers Brendan and Trevor!! You boys have an awesome Mommy!! Prayers, hugs and love!!! 🙂
