To try to wear out the boys and make the day pass, I took them to Lowes and Ross and let them shop. After lunch, I thought for sure they were tired.
Just when I thought both of them were about to sleep, the doorbell rings and the medical equipment company is wanting to do a ventilator inspection. Lights on, awake babies.
I was so frustrated. I took them both, sans clothes, and loaded them in the car and drove around. We did loops all around the city freeways and burned almost a quarter tank of gas.
Trevor fell asleep almost right away, Brendan said not a chance. He did ride around peacefully and enjoy the view while I got to visit with Gramma.

It was nice to talk with you today, even though it was while you were driving all over AZ!
I haven’t had a Dairy Queen cone in a very long time, it looked really good.
There’s quite a difference in the boys’ height again. They’re so cute pushing the shopping cart.
I don’t know why only 1/2 my comment posted!
We went to the Marriott Theater tonight to see one of our subscription plays that had to be postponed a few weeks ago. I didn’t feel like going, but we decided maybe a little distraction and getting out would be good. It was REALLY bad!! We left at the intermission, along with other people. The theater was emptier than I had ever seen it, so I think word had gotten out that it wasn’t good, just not to us! It was “On the Town”. I hope the next one is better.
I hope you all get a good night’s sleep, even Mr. Nap Fail.
Lots of love and hugs,
Gramma xxxx
” cones from Dairy Queen ” 🙂
I usually get a frosty from DQ. If I want a cone, I go to Greg’s Frozen Custard and get a double, “flavor of the day”, cone.
Several “centuries” ago – – – OK, “years” – – – I’d walk up to the Carvel stand, in Copiague. a cone there, then, was 50 cents 😮 🙂 🙂
The last time I was back East, that Carvel stand was still there, on Merrick Road.
The cone, was a “bit more than” 50 cents. 😮 😉 🙂 🙂
