Week 24 – Day 5

Today really threw me off my “routine”, if it is possible to have a routine right now. I stayed home all morning and worked on my taxes and Gramma did the grocery shopping. Bill met us at the hospital late in the day. Trevor had a hard time with the field trip, so this will be his last visit for a while. We don’t want to put him at any unnecessary risk either.

Brendan is still on track to move upstairs on Monday. The pediatricians from that area have already started to come to visit to get to know him. It will be real nice to be seen by pediatricians and not intensivists. I am practicing every day with trach care already, I will be a pro by the time they are ready to train us.

Brendan gives me the totally innocent “I don’t know why they put socks on my hands” face.

He thinks the “vent keeper” tie is silly too, he doesn’t know anyone that would work to pop the vent tubes off.

Trevor wasn’t so cooperative today, he was a little nervous about being in the hospital and a bit cranky. Things will be better when the boys can lounge around at home!

Whose foot is whose? I know, it is too difficult to tell.

Trevor has a kicking game he plays in the bath. He is getting very good at taking aim and booting his toys.

Trevor does the voiceover for Brendan in the first half of this video! Then Brendan learns the kicking game too!

  1. It does my heart good to see Brendan looking happier and smiling. I know you will be a pro by the time Brendan comes home. Happy Easter to you all!

  2. Happy First Easter Brendan and Trevor ! 🙂 🙂
( picture three ) “Twins, plotting mischief”. They just look so “right” together,
Seeing these pictures, is the greatest way possible, to start and Easter Sunday morning !!!
    🙂 🙂 🙂

  3. “Movin’ on up, to a deluxe apartment in the sky!” Can’t wait to see pix of Brendan’s new digs! It’s all part of his grand scheme. Move up to move out. Love the side by side feet, although it looks like tiny feet could use a little of the spa treatments that his twin has enjoyed =). It is so nice to see Brendan happier!
