Year 5 – Week 24 – Day 6

Trying to catch up.. or catch my breath?
We have had several doctor visits for Brendan’s routine checkups.

We had a trip to the airport to pick up Gramma and Kayla!!

The boys taught them how to “make spaceships” aka pile up everything you can find in the middle bed and blast off.

Petting and feeding the stingrays is the best part according to Kayla and Trevor

Brendan actually held a chunk of sardine and fed it to the stingray!

Feeding the birds would have been more awesome if it wasn’t so crowded. It was still cool!

Petting zoo

The kids were mostly content to stay home and play in “The Lego Nest”

Kayla made some cool stuff!
52404

The boys had to “do some foamwork” in the garage while we tie-dyed some shirts. I didn’t take any pics of the finished shirts!
524bt05

I had no energy left to set up photo studio stuff. We had a great week with Kayla and Gramma.

The day before they left, another cousin came to take their place. Eric and his fiancée Liz escaped the Illinois cold and snow for a week too. They celebrated Liz’s birthday at the Grand Canyon. Happy birthday, Liz!

Brendan’s creativity can not be contained by a small white board.

We are back full circle to the last blog. Company has come and gone and now the colds are back. It has been mild so far but fevers, coughs and lots of boogers have come by for a visit now.

  1. Kayla and I had a great time on our much too quick trip to see you all. We were on the plane coming and the next thing you know, we were on the plane going home! I’m glad the boys could do the airport run and sky train one way at least.
Legos, Legos everywhere!! All Kayla and the boys needed was Legos and video games!
We had a nice day at the zoo, too. Thank you for all of the new tye-dye shirts. Now if only we could get some warm weather!
Miss you all! Lots of love,
    Gramma xoxoxoxo

  2. Cousins, cousins everywhere! LoOKs like everyone had lots of fun. Sorry to hear about the third wave of visitors, this time not so welcome. Wish we could fly out there to escape our winter weather (in April!). Brendan and Trevor crack me up with their silliness and infectious smiles. Can’t wait to see you all in person!

  3. Good morning from the East Coast!! What a wonderful blog!!! Each and every picture was great! Trevor’s bike ride was hysterical….glad he survived his crash!! The respiratory buggers have been all over!! Many families have been ill. Hoping that this round for you will pass through quickly and all will be hunky-dory!!! Prayers, hugs and love!!! 🙂

  4. Kayla had such a great time visiting her cousins! Those tricky little extra visitors came home with Kayla too. We hope everyone recovered quickly and can get back to normal days.

  5. I finally figured out how to retrieve my saved bookmarks on my new laptop!! Victory is mine! Oh how I have missed this blog! The updates on FB helped, but THIS is where the action is!!

Your mother looks fabulous as usual. The glow from being with the grandkids is showing 🙂 I am glad they enjoyed all of the visitors. It seems everyone is trying to get a break from our bipolar weather in the mid-west lol. Brendan and that white board crack me up!! Trevor’s precise box stacking is uber cute!!
