With two weeks since the last post, I thought I would have more content. We have been super busy, but there has been nothing worth photographing. We hauled ten garbage bags of STUFF out of the house. Five to charity and five to trash. It feels good to purge and organize.
We celebrated Bill’s birthday on the 8th. Happy happy birthday!! The boys really helped to make this delicious German Chocolate Cake from scratch. YUM.
Trevor started his Pre-K class. He loves it! The first day, he cried when I picked him up at the end because he wasn’t ready to go home. He has a really nice teacher and seems to like the large class of kids. I got his sneakers from the spring out of the shoe rack – he has worn crocs all summer. I could not even get his feet in them! I had to get him little boys size 11 shoes! A size and a half bigger! Yikes!
We had our first child-caused toilet overflow. Fortunately Bill caught it fast, and it was just the filling tank water and not sewage coming up. Every towel in the house plus shop vac and we were all good. The floor is already destroyed from fish tank incidents.
Brendan’s teacher has started coming to the house again, plus his regular therapies continue. I didn’t get any pictures of him!
I will try to get more for the next post. A whole week and a half of school has passed, and everyone was healthy. I think the whole family could be on the verge of our first school year cold. Time will tell.
Good morning from the east coast!! Delicious birthday cake (Happy Birthday again to Bill!!), epic floods, (LOL) and a very handsome, grown up Trevor!!! What a great post!! Hoping that Brendan enjoys his teacher and that your first “school cold” runs the other way!! Prayers, love and hugs!!! 🙂
Yummy looking cake! The boys are great bakers. 🙂
Trevor looks so grown up, and if he’s like a puppy who grows into their feet…he’s going to be very tall! 😉
At least there are advantages to toilet floods when you have a house with one floor! It’s good that it was fill water and not sewage, too. Aunt Heather tossed a little bathroom solo cup in our toilet when she was a toddler. Not only was there backed up water (plus) everywhere, the toilet had to be taken off to get the plastic cup unstuck! Yuck!
I’m so happy to hear that Trevor enjoyed a big class of kids and loved his new school. He looks like a first-grader instead of ore-K!
Looking forward to pictures of Brendan soon.
Lots of love and big hugs,
Gramma xo
