Something newwwww!
Trevor is getting a few private swim lessons courtesy of HopeKids and AquaSafe Swim School! He was so excited, he is just a water boy. He did a great job, I was impressed. It was a very nice place too.
He didn’t make a fuss at all, and did everything his instructor asked
Swimming with his face underwater! I was proud of him!
His instructor Mary is super patient and fun.
Trevor was going under water to fetch plastic rings and having a great time. He gets three more lessons this month. We will have to decide when/if we can keep sending him when they are done.
Brendan wanted a turn, but he had to wait with me. There was a toy room and a snack bar and a waiting theater for parents. Maybe next year, Brendan! 🙂
Wow, go Trevor! That’s wonderful that he gets to have real lessons. He’s going to be a swimming Ninja!
I’m sure when it’s Brendan’s time, he’ll do well. They’ve always been water babies. Do you remember swimming lessons at Adler Park in the “kiddie pool”? 🙂
It makes you an extra busy mom coming and going every day!
Another fun blog! Lots of love from a very proud Gramma. 🙂 xo
I remember a smaller pool in Mundelein I think, and Amy’s house down the street on Valley Park Dr. I don’t remember lessons at Adler, but I might be confused. 🙂
You and Heather had a 2 week session at Adler when we stayed with Grandma when your dad was at sea for 6 months, but you were only 2 years old, and of course wouldn’t remember! I’m the confused one! 🙂
You did have lessons at Mundelein pool when we lived there, and then with Amy on Valley Park.
I have to add a comment with some hilarious “Brendanisms” because he cracks me up every day.
He came up to me and said, “Mommy, would you help me do assault?”
Me: Assault? You want me to help you attack something?
B: No. A …. Salt.
Me: Like cooking with salt?
B: No. A SUMMER salt!
Me: Ooooohhh. Got it! Sure I can help you do a somersault.
B: Not a winter salt though. Those are too tricky.
We were in the car and the boys were being loud and rowdy. I warned them that they needed to calm down or we wouldn’t go to the playground later. Brendan calmed down but Trevor continued. I told him he couldn’t go because he wasn’t behaving.
Brendan said. “But wait!” I am being have!” (have that rhymes with wave)
Brendan got the new Lego catalog and just for the first time saw the new Lego Batman movie sets coming out. He says, “Oh. My. Gosh. That is simply unreal!”
Silly boy!
I love to hear the funny things Brendan says! Trevor comes up with good ones, too! 🙂
