Our night nurse was sick last night with fever, so she had to stay away from Brendan and the rest of us so Bill and I were up all night half and half like we usually do Saturdays. We are trying to get past all this yuck, we can’t have the cycle start again. Trevor finally seems healthy, my cough is so close to being gone. Other than being tired from being awake so early, Bill is doing OK too.
It was doctor’s appointment day. Getting the stuff together for a big trip to the hospital is a lot of work, but the boys both did a great job. By this afternoon, Brendan seemed to be feeling a bit better and tonight he is showing big signs of improvement.
The doctor was so thrilled to see Brendan and thought he was doing great. Brendan is up to 22lbs, 2.5oz! He just might be passing Trevor up!! She did believe he may have a minor respiratory infection and prescribed a long term, low dose antibiotic to help him fight it off for the next six weeks.
The other big news is that she ordered Brendan a Passy Muir valve. We won’t go in to too much detail yet, but it is a special one way valve that will allow Brendan to make sounds when he is sprinting. When that comes in, we will post all kinds of info!

Brendan read clearly that he was just a VISITOR and that he was not staying at the hospital! He behaved so well for his checkup.

We have a fill-in nurse tonight, but she has covered for us once before. Hopefully Brendan will sleep well.
Super healing vibes to Gramma, Great-Grandma, Sherelle and everyone else we know that has had illness, injury and surgeries lately. Enough of hospitals already!!
AZ, here I come! Again! I think I am just about packed for my 7th trip to see the cutest babies in Arizona!! Thank you, Heather, Kevin, Kayla and Ashley for giving me such a wonderful early Christmas present, I love it!

I’m so glad to hear Brendan’s doctor was so pleased today, and Brendan will have something new to show off soon.

Good night from the “getting there” east coast!! Just came home from “duty crew” at EMS and a bit down because none of our tickets came remotely close to the 550 million dollar powerball lottery……thought I might be able to retire!! Best, to keep the ol’ day job!! To Gramma!! We are soooooooo happy that you are able to make the AZ trip!!! Those two boys will heal all woes!! Hugs!! To great-grandma, here’s hoping that you heal quickly!!! Tiffanie and Bill…way to go with the outcome of Brendan’s visit!! The same micro-organism is making it’s way around here also….all the kids in our class are ill…..I figure, by this weekend I too shall be ill!!! Lets see…it is 12:30AM and I must awake at 5:30AM..hmmmm. I may be on Tiffanie’s schedule, however, I truly am much older and my ability to rebound is quite limited!! Loved the video!!! Brendan and family remain on our prayer list at church, sending oodles of hugs….send some to Gramma and some to yourselves….and lots of love!!! 🙂

So happy to hear that Brendan’s checkup went so well. Also the good news that all of you are doing better. Now that you more is going to be there maybe you both can get some rest. The video is great,, Trevor is so funny as Brendan showed us. Enjoy your mom being there.
