It was Crying Baby Central at our house today. Even though Trevor slept through the night, he was just irritable and tired all day. The slightest little thing would set him off just crying and crying. And when he is feeling emotional, he also is ten times more naughty. Instead of playing with his toys, he tries to crawl back in to Brendan’s equipment or climb things. I had to say “no” far too many times and that just made him worse! He ended up getting a time out this afternoon. He didn’t like it, but it helped.
Brendan was a good baby for the most part. Besides refusing to take a nap unless he is held and rocked, and the fact that he stayed up well past 9PM, he was silly and playful. He is suddenly making big improvements in his tummy time skills.

He sits in his “throne” in the mornings. He was reading his favorite book, “Peek-a-boo Forest”. Then he decided to throw it overboard and see who would get it for him.

That plan was not thought out well!

Trevor will sometimes surprise us and do nice things for Brendan. Usually though, he just pats him on the head like he is one of the dogs.

This time Trevor was distracted by my cereal bowl and spoon and Mommy had to rescue the book.

Brendan loves watching Trevor get in to trouble. I think he is making notes for when he is mobile.

Trevor did projects today and puts away the wrench. He loves his workbench, but today he figured out that he could use it as a ladder to get to the Christmas tree on the counter. He tried to scale the workbench every chance he got. The little orange door in the center flaps down and turns in to a perfect step.

I thought I could occupy the boys with a little art project but they were not so interested in coloring.

Brendan wins and gets the box of crayons. Even Brendan tried to eat crayons.

I did get them to draw some, but it was more a constant battle to keep crayons out of mouths.

“no Trevor, no Trevor, no Trevor, don’t eat crayons, no, no, no”….meltdown

I hope tomorrow has a lot less crying!

They look so cute with the artwork I just had to jump on and say they get more adorable every day. Hope you have a Happy New Year all of you. Will be with the kids in Ca. I will be reading the blog from there just a little later every day. They are not 4 am folks. Bredan watching Trevor is the cutest thing in the world and his expressions while he is doing the watching are priceless…v

😮 Brendan, making notes??! No, he would never do – – – that. 😉 😉
Trevor, having a “taste for art” does not mean eating the Crayons. 😮 🙂 🙂 😉
Tiffanie, the world would be a vastly different place without this blog brightening each morning. Thank You !
Good afternoon from the Lake House!! What a day to catch up in the blog…two crying babies…sooo sorry!! Lets see. a combination of trying to go technical at home, now on our 4th tech and finally have internet back on the East Coast, and my being absolutely exhausted (can relate to you Tiff and Bill) with a new, -%+*@!**, case of Lyme Disease (but my exhaustion, hopefully, will soon be gone) that has set me on my touche…all’s well. I have no idea where the enrergy comes to you to update the blog…..knowing that it has tremendous therapeutic value and can help you “keep track”, I am still bewildered. Tons of hugs Tiff’! Merry Christmas, albeit late, and may 2013 bring you the many hours of extra rest you all so deserve! The boys are absolutely amazing, as are their parents. It has been really great getting to a working computer to catch up, do hope that the boys shake that virus…it is going around here too . Emily had fever for 5 days and felt miserable…at least she could talk to Carrie…your little ones just cry…so sorry! Hang in there!! Prayers for all, belated Christmas hugs and lots of love!!! 🙂
