Year 2 – Week 19 – Day 5

After Trevor woke up at 5:30 this morning and couldn’t go back to sleep, I knew I was in trouble for the day. Brendan had a very restless night too and did not sleep well all night.

In the morning light, we discovered Brendan’s problem. Further evidence that crabby clothes yields crabby babies!!

Trevor had to have a mini-tub bath again today.

We tried to have a nice lunch together

Brendan says, “I am supposed to be practicing my sitting-up, but I think I will just lounge”

Now that Brendan is getting stronger, he is also getting a LOT more assertive. He also is getting better at throwing super tantrums when he doesn’t get his way.

Trevor is supposed to be packing a box of stuff to mail to his cousin. Instead, it turned in to a giant game of “Undo”

If you ever wonder why I am exhausted at the end of the day…

It wasn’t a terrible day considering the nap fails. I figured they would take long naps after bad nights. Trevor slept about 45 minutes and Brendan about an hour. Brendan had an epic meltdown when I tried to do his bath and trach care tonight, I believe he was just exhausted. He has been asleep ever since. He had a couple of bad spells of vomiting up bile today, I don’t know what that means right now.

We hope all of our friends and family to the east stay safe and warm in the blizzards, enjoy the snow day! We are greatly concerned for Grandpa Dusty who has just been admitted to the hospital with great pain, fever and an unknown infection. We wish him speedy relief and recovery.

  1. What a silly video! I love it! It is just what I needed for a laugh today. 🙂
That is so great that Brendan was doing the same thing Trevor did, like “monkey see, monkey do”. Before you know it, Brendan will be running on the couch! 😉
The other pictures are adorable, too. They are both growing and changing so quickly, and it feels like I am becoming the “Gramma from Illinois”. It’s almost 3 months since I’ve seen them, and I miss them a bunch.
Thank you for your good wishes for Grampa Dusty. Hopefully tomorrow will give us some answers.
    Lots and lots of love,
    Gramma
