We have had this day on our mind for a long time, and I have been so afraid that something would go wrong and we wouldn’t be able to make the event. The weather was beautiful and the boys did a really good job!<\/p>\n

We tried to give them as much running-around time as possible before the walk started. Trevor was all ready with his cool shades
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

He met Belle
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

He gave Tinkerbell a hug
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

But he left Spiderman hanging! He wouldn’t give him a high five at all.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The event started at a school, Trevor wanted to go in to the classrooms. I guess he wants to go to school!
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Gramma took Brendan walking all around too
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Gramma’s got two heavy boys!
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Brendan’s whole awesome nursing team came out for the event!
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We were happy to have our cousins Bob and Marian come to join us too with their little dog Gizmo, but we didn’t get a good picture of them! Gramma and Marian had to share and compare Gizmo pictures (they both have little dogs named Gizmo!)<\/p>\n

Ready to walk, Brendan is suspicious. He kept signing “more” because he wanted to get down and walk more with Gramma.

It was a really great walk, the route was pretty!
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

We got lots of compliments on our team shirts!
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

For completing the whole course, the boys each received a HopeWalk medal. I can’t say that they were expecially impressed
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

They got their medals from some players from the Arizona Rattlers (arena football)
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Brendan looks pretty perky for someone who just walked 3 miles
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Better than the medal to Trevor, a celebratory frozen coke
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Now Brendan is tired
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

He gives Gramma good night kisses before his nap
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Trevor devoured some peanut butter and apple slices and made a giant mess for lunch and then slept several hours.
\n\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The HopeWalk had a great turnout and the organization raised over $40,000 total. We were excited to be a part of it!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
