Another favorite Hopekids event of ours is the “Owl Picnic”. We try to go every year. It is put on by General Mills and is actually named “Pamela’s Picnic” in honor of the volunteer and organizer who died in 2016. <\/p>\n

Each year, the organization ‘Fallen Feathers’ brings out Brendan’s favorite birds.

We also get a visit from Skittles the scarlet macaw. This year, we met Sierra. Trevor even got to hold her!

Besides pizza, popcorn, and cotton candy, there are magic shows and crafts and a big playground. It was a perfect day to be in the park!
