I wish I could say that we were more excited about this New Year’s Eve, but it really is just another day. There is no magical change that will take place overnight. Other than being the end of a tax year, the changing of the numbers on the calendar don’t mean very much in our journey.
Tonight we won’t be going anywhere or seeing anyone or drinking anything fizzy or spirited. When we wake up in the morning, it will be all the same. At least we won’t have hangovers to deal with!

As far as lengths of time go, the year of 2012 was full of changes. Last January 1st, we could not even have dreamt of the journey that was ahead of us. I hope that next December 31st, I can look back in disbelief over the progress that we have made.

We put away our Christmas tree and everything yesterday, the whole holiday season comes to a close but the whole thing was kind of a blur and I can’t believe it is over!

So today, we just went on about our daily rigor. Trevor was all full of spazz this morning. So that Brendan could take his nap, I loaded up Trevor and took him to the park.

He really likes to swing even though the pictures don’t show it!

He was amazed by the floor of this equipment.

I thought he might pull up on these bars, but instead he fell in love with the sand

And yes, he tried to eat it.

He was blown away by the flock of ducks

Brendan stayed at home, but he still had a pretty good day.
