It’s Grampa Dusty’s birthday, so we spent the day at his house! We baked a lemon cake with lemon pudding in between the layers, covered in a homemade lemon butter cream frosting. Yum! We also had baby meatloaves for dinner, with mashed Yukon Gold potatoes and veggies. The girls played Legend of Zelda almost all day, sometimes with Grampa and sometimes without.
Right before dinner, Erin came over with Caleb and Rhys. Ashley got to meet Rhys for the first time (me too!). She could hardly believe that she was once that same size! Here are some pictures of the cousins together.
Ashley gets to meet and hold Rhys.
Bring Kayla into the group.
And Gramma and Grampa too (the Grampa picture was a little fuzzy).
Check out the face!
Food coma! He’s almost drooling. =)
Time for cake!
Rhys doesn’t like to open his eyes, but he was hungry and complaining.
Happy Birthday, Dusty! I am drooling over that cake too, I love lemon! The pictures of all the cousins are awesome. They are all adorable! Rhys is so cute!
It was a nice day having the girls at our house all day! Caleb was thrilled to have cousins to play with him. Rhys is such a good baby, it’s almost unbelievable! 🙂
Thank you, Heather, for a delicious birthday cake, which also had the tart lemon pudding filling! 😉
We ‘re sorry Kevin didn’t feel so good and had to go home a little early. I hope it doesn’t turn into something bad. 🙁
Lots of love and hugs,
Gramma xxxx
Good morning from the Lake House!! Happy Birthday Dusty!! Looks like you enjoyed a fun day!! Ashley and Kayla, looks like you really enjoyed getting to know your new cousin!! Rhys is such a cutie!! Just like his brother, Caleb!! Your Gramma has extremely cute grandchildren…all of you!!! 🙂 Here’s hoping that Daddy already feels better and that you all enjoyed the rest of the day at Gramma’s!! Big hugs and lots of love!! 🙂
I printed out two of the pictures Gramma sent me of Kayla and Rhys, and just now, printed out the “second picture”, of Ashley and Rhys.
Now I have to get out and find frames for the pictures. 🙂 🙂 🙂
