Week 12 – Day 6

Just another day, nothing huge to report. Dealing with mucous management to keep little ones comfortable, Brendan had a little bloody nose for a while too. I stepped up the saline mists and he doesn’t even seem to mind me doing it, I think it feels better.
Timing today has been off so our hands have been full non-stop. Some days definitely have a better rhythm than others.

Thanks very much Amber from the mom’s club for stopping by with dinner, it looks awesome. She even made cheddar biscuits. yummm

This picture may look a lot like yesterday’s! Sleep time is the only time I could pick up the camera.

Brendan has spent a lot of time today being held. He is allowed tummy time now, but we support him so that he isn’t lying on his ostomy bag. Being on his tummy helps him with his congestion a bit.
I finally got him comfortable enough to go to bed. I am proud to say that he has had no mitts on all day and has left his face pretty much alone.

Sleeping on his side for a while

This is a video I took the night before last. Whenever the boys are awake and calm, I put them together. I had no idea this night that they would be happy to lie there and stare at each other for two solid hours. Trevor even went well past his normal feeding time. They made noises and pawed at each other and just stared and were as content as could be from 10PM until almost midnight. I was stuck supervising when I desperately wanted to sleep, but I couldn’t break them up, it was too cute.

All the crackling sound is Trevor kicking wildly and crunching a package of wipes that I left in the bed after changing Brendan.

Now off for a nap while the boys are sleeping at the same time!

  1. I could watch the video over and over again! They are so precious, and how unbelievable for them to interact with each other for two hours. In fact, how unbelievable for you to stay awake watching them for two hours! I know it sounds redundant, but I will say it again… they get cuter every day.

    Love and kisses,
    Gramma

  2. Dinner tonight sounds yummmmm. It was so great to finally meet the boys and spend some time watching them. I love the video and what fun it must have been for you. If you have to miss sleep — what a way to do it……thanks for the joy of meeting them. V

  3. It is so cool that they could lay there, talking to each other! Brendan was copying Trevor too. I love when they both were sticky out tongues at each other, and Trevor was trying to eat Brendan’s mitt. I also just noticed that both boys have pointy little Vulcan elf ears!

  4. Good morning from the east coast!! The pictures and the videos are just awesome! You have very handsome fellows!! Oh, by the way, I have pointy little Vulcan ears and I can assure you that they will not become sticky-outy ears!! That’s a plus!! Tiffanie and Bill, you are definitely doing everything right! Those boys are so lucky to have you for their parents! Love, prayers and hugs! 🙂 🙂
