Week 45 – Day 2

Today Brendan was in the silliest mood, he just wanted to play all day long. I tried to enjoy it as much as possible because there is no telling what his recovery will be like after surgery. Then there is the continuation of the drug weaning to look forward to. I hope that he is this silly and fun all weekend for Grampa Dusty to visit. Less than 48 hours until Gramma is back!

Just when we were getting in to the rhythm of our daily routine, it is changing up again. I think Trevor is moving to a one nap a day baby. He did take a long nap midday and went to bed at a reasonable hour!

Brendan really loves the yellow puffs container, and was simply blown away by the monolithic cheerios box!

He likes to watch Trevor eating too, you never know what you will see.

Every time we talk about putting this swing up for sale, we end up using it. Brendan loved it today! He did not want to nap in his crib, no way! But he fell asleep swinging.

He has to make sure nobody pulls on his tube while he is sleeping.

Baby jail has been relocated to a more functional area of the room. At least the inmates get some Yo Gabba Gabba privileges.

“My thumb? What?”

“It’s right here, why do you ask?”

Just swatting at fish, innocently

This naughty monkey has the puff can and Brendan is trying to get it!

Somebody gets two baths a day now pretty much every day. (spoiled!!) Guess who got to try the big boy tub for the first time tonight!?

He loved it!

He has room to stretch out and float!

  1. Very nice blog tonight! Brendan looks so happy, and Trevor doesn’t look all that small in the big tub!
Tomorrow, it’s laundry and packing! Friday morning, we’re headed for the airport at about 9:30AM our time. I can’t believe how quickly the time went! I do need to check a second bag! (not because I have more clothes!
    See you very soon!
    Love to all,
    Gramma

  2. I know it is a ton of work but both boys look so happy! Read the blog everyday even though I don’t post. Sending lots of prayers and healing thoughts for all for Brendan’s upcoming surgery.

  3. “It’s right here, why do you ask?” – – – – Why? I ask because, It looked to me like you were thinking, ” this thing would work so much better if it were attached to a ‘ Thumb Drive ‘. ” 😮 🙂 😉
It is so good to see more and more * Fun * in Brendan’s face! Hopes and prayers for a quick, successful, no complications surgery, and even more smiles and “happy”.

  4. Is Gramma checking a second bag in order to smuggle home a little jail breaking, tub loving, silly little devil? Good thing Brendan is working on reading those nutrition labels. One of these days, he’ll stick a Cheerio in his mouth and decide he likes it!
