Week 50 – Day 2

I have too many cute pictures to share today!

It was in the low 70’s outside this morning so I jumped on the chance to get out for some fresh air. We put Brendan on an HME and loaded up the stroller for a walk. We stayed fairly close to the house on our first outing, we will maybe go around the block next! That is such an accomplishment! The boys had a great time, but Trevor wanted his socks off!

Aunt Beth and Uncle Steve were here to visit this morning before going home tomorrow. The boys managed to sleep through the majority of their time with us, but woke up long enough for some cute pictures.

This afternoon, we had a follow up with the GI surgeon. The boys didn’t know where we were headed, but they usually like the car. Brendan like to get out of the house.

Trevor loves his Burts Bees lip balm. He had an epic meltdown when I tried to take it away from him.

Brendan had some fun crinkle paper to play with at the doctor’s office, which was good because we sat in that exam room for an hour and a half waiting for the doctor.

Three minutes of examination, and we were headed home! The doc was very happy with his incision and his feeding port. We don’t have to go back for any more checkups there now unless there is some kind of problem.

We are all wiped out from a busy day out in the heat. Brendan did the whole Dr. trip wearing his HME and no vent! He is exhausted!

  1. Good morning from the east coast! What an eventful day for the boys!! A stroll outside, visitors and a doctor visit!! Brendan, you are the man….managing a walk and the doctors (with that tell-tale crinkly paper-most kids do not like it)…not on your vent…Wooo-Hooo!!!!! Trevor, I agree that socks belong left in the drawer!! Wishing another, happy eventful, great day!! Prayers, love and lots of hugs!! 🙂

  2. Wow what great news and a great day. They look so cute in the stroller. These mornings are great for being out early. Glad for a good checkup – Brendan is doing good with all the time off the vent and Trevor just gets more entertaining every day.

  3. Are those 2 little Minions I see? The boys look so cute together with clothes on!
Brendan is doing so well being off of the vent. What a long day and long wait at the doctor’s office! I hope they both slept well with all of the fresh air, and a long ride in the car. It must be very tiring for you, but there is such progress being made looking at the blog every day, so many new things!
Looking forward to seeing you all in a couple of weeks. I can’t wait to see what all of the boys think of seeing each other! Caleb is going to have quite an adventure with his first visit to see his cousins!
Lots of love and wishes for continued good news, new accomplishments, and more SLEEP for all!
    Love, Gramma
