Year 2 – Week 5 – Day 1 – Happy Thanksgiving!

There was not a whole lot holiday about our holiday today but it was a nice day and Bill was home from work so that he could spend time with the boys. Since he was able to help with both babies, I was actually able to get some things done that I have been trying to do for weeks.

We didn’t do any fancy cooking, see anyone, or go anywhere. It was a pretty low key day. I am feeling a bit better, but still not sleeping well. The nagging cough is still hanging around but much less than before.

Brendan seems to have been feeling better but Trevor has been up and down today. He had a good morning but when he woke up from his afternoon nap, he was just in a bad bad bad mood. He cried a lot and refused to eat dinner. I finally got him to eat peas and cheerios while he video chatted with all the family in IL.

Playtime pictures:

We are working on more tummy time with Brendan. It is the skill he needs to spend the most hours on, but it is also the hardest when he is having any respiratory issues.

He is getting good at using apps on the phone. (with Bill starting “The Empire Strikes Back” in the background!) We like to use the phone when we really need to motivate him to do something.

Trevor is really starting to enjoy the upside-down, fling around stuff!

We hope everyone is full and happy tonight! Happy Thanksgiving to all!

  1. It was really nice to video chat with you today. We missed you being here with us. Everyone here is too full from Thanksgiving dinner, and we are NOT going to any Black Friday sales!!!
Brendan is doing really well with his tummy time! It’s nice to see him sitting by himself and playing with Trevor, too.
As always, I hope you will all feel better tomorrow, get some good rest tonight, and tomorrow will be an easy day.
    Lots of love a hugs,

  2. Good Morning from the,” Mother Nature was kind to us”, East Coast! Albeit we still have huge piles of debris to navigate around, on the back roads, Thanksgiving was a beautiful day! Brendan and Trevor, the day will come when you two will read these blogs and realize what amazing parents you have!!! And you will toast them at your Thanksgiving dinner and say, thanks, Mom and Dad!! Brendan’s video was great…just loved Star Wars in the background. Can’t imagine the challenges when Brendan masters crawling! He and Trevor, oh my….double trouble! Hoping all of you are feeling better!! Prayers, love and big hugs!! 🙂
