Year 2 – Week 12 – Day 4

This was a very big milestone day! Brendan got to go to the park! It was unusually cold here so we bundled the boys up in layers and headed out to see if Brendan likes the ducks as much as Trevor does.

Brendan really liked hiding behind the monster mask on his new hoodie!

He can see through it just fine, he is just silly!

Trevor knew where we were the moment we hit the parking lot!

But it turns out, Brendan wants no part of the ducks. They were too much.

He says, “get me out of here!”

Trevor says, “I’ll just eat the extra peas that we brought for the ducks!” (I read that peas were good for the ducks. They liked them but the peas sink. It was actually very entertaining watching the ducks dive for sinking peas!)

Trevor says, “I know what Brendan will like!”

He was interested!

Trevor likes to swing really big and fast!

Brendan was limited by the length of his oxygen line. I think it is cute how Trevor scoots to the front of the seat and dangles straight while Brendan is fully seated in the bucket.

“Is this how I am supposed to do it?”

“Yep, hang straight and swing big!”

“And stick your hand out here?”

Brendan is silly!

Brendan likes pushes from Daddy

We had lots of people, especially kids, say, “oh gosh look at those cute TWINS!!”

Trevor says, “Look! No hands!”

“Wheeeee!”

All packed up and time to walk back to the car. Brendan waves bye-bye!

One more stop at the water to feed the birds. Brendan cried so we didn’t stay long!

As soon as we were in the warm car, Brendan was out cold! He has slept soundly all evening so far. He was worn out! I think he had a great time!

It was so so so good to get out as a whole family and do something fun!

  1. Super cute pictures! It’s so nice that Brendan got to go to the park today. Who would have thought that he wouldn’t like the ducks? Was it the noise they make? He sure seemed to get the hang of swinging! The made such a handsome pair, no wonder you all got a lot of attention. 🙂
It is very nice to see you getting out together to go to the park. Once again, I don’t know which picture is cuter. The hoodies are adorable! Looks like new shoes, too!
I hope you all have a good night, and that you are pleased with your new bed.
    Lots of love,
    Gramma

  2. Those pics are great…It is so good to see Brendan out…Ducks aren’t for eveyone. Unbelieveable how blue Trevor’s eyes are in those blue hoodies. I agree with your mom hard to tell which picture is cuter. Bill is such a good dad v

  3. I guess Li’l B won’t be spending much time in “Duck City” at the zoo! Swinging is not such a bad way to spend an afternoon. It’s great that you can all get out together as a family!

  4. No worries Brendan! If birds were completely harmless, Alfred Hitchcock would not have had such a successful movie! It is so great to see the boys playing together doing boy things. Brendan sure seemed to like that swing, and fresh air is a great nap inducer! Soak up the vitamin D boys!
