Year 2 – Week 20 – Day 2

After a bit of a rocky start this morning, Brendan had a great day. He seems to be feeling a lot better. He is so silly in fact that he is still awake an hour and a half past bedtime, laughing and sitting up and jumping in bed and tormenting his Daddy.

I put him in his high chair for lunch with Trevor. I put a big pile of puffs on both trays and Brendan flung most of his on the floor. Then he ATE one! He put it in his mouth himself and kept it there until it dissolved.
He was much happier eating the jar though.

“What’s in these things anyway?”

He also ate several bites of green beans, reluctantly.

Trevor is practicing his teenager pose

He has to beat Daddy’s high score

The moment I finally got both babies asleep for their naps, the skies opened and we got this hail storm with huge crashes of thunder. They made me jump, but the boys slept right through it!
There was pea sized hail hammering the roof and collecting on the patio.

This is what they were missing

Wow! Just as I typed that, there was a flash of lightning and loud crash of thunder again. It looks like another round of the storm is about to start now!

Brendan had to go to Daddy boot camp this afternoon

Trevor helped me cook dinner again. Tonight I gave him a little ball of sticky pizza dough.

“What am I supposed to do with this?”

“Remove. Immediately.”

Because he didn’t like the dough (Brendan didn’t either, big surprise!), I filled his high chair tray with water for him to play in until his dinner was ready. I think maybe Trevor needs some playmates of the non-furry variety! Getting in to the dog food must have affected him! Silly baby!

Speaking of silly, Brendan is the silliest baby I have ever met. I was showing him videos of babies laughing and talking. He was laughing so hard he almost had a tear roll out. It is hard to tell in the video just how hard he is laughing, he is shaking!

I showed him the video of himself jumping in bed and talking and he was copying himself. It was too cute! I hope with all of the crazy we had today that the boys will sleep well!

  1. Great videos!! We heard you had lots of rain, but didn’t hear about the hail you got.
Look at Brendan go! He is getting stronger every day. His pull-ups with Daddy are amazing!
It does look like Trevor thinks he is a puppy! He will want you to put his milk in a bowl instead of a cup. 🙂
Silly silly Brendan with a case of the giggles! He is definitely feeling better.
Green bean face, and pizza dough fingers are very cute pictures, too. I don’t think Trevor will want to work at a pizzeria when he grows up!
What a loaded with variety blog tonight! It’s hard to decide what’s best…but then, I don’t have to!
Hoping for many good days to come.
    Lots of love,
    Gramma

  2. Go, Brendan, go! You’re a real jock… 1, 2, 3… 98, 99, 100!!! Woo-hoo! (Aww, mama, just look at that smile.)

Mama mia, Trevor! FYI: The definition of dough changes when you get a little older, and you won’t want it removed from your hands so quickly.

  3. Good morning from the, We are exhausted just reading the blogs, East Coast!! Never a dull moment in your family, near or far!! Here’s all kinds of hugs, gentle loving pats on the back and healing prayers for everyone!!! Brendan, sooooo glad that “they” were able to find the reason for your distress….hoping your tummy feels much better now!! 🙂 Trevor, you make the energizer bunny look lethargic!! 🙂 The videos are priceless….they show how quickly the boys are maturing!! Thank you so much for sharing!! Again, many prayers for everyone, much love and tons of hugs!!! 🙂

  4. Eating puffs now too? You’re getting there, lil B! And of course Trevor thinks he’s a puppy! He has two dogs helping to raise him! No wonder he keeps trying to get at the dog food bowl – he thinks it is for him!
