Year 2 – Week 25 – Day 4

It was a long night/day so I didn’t take many pictures today. Brendan slept restlessly with numbers that were just OK but he made it through the night without issue. His fever has stayed low and we thought that he was showing a lot of improvement this afternoon.

He hit a real nasty patch tonight right before bed and it is so frustrating and frightening and it makes me second guess all of our decisions. Being immensely tired doesn’t help to cope with things. He is asleep and doing well again now so we just hope to have a peaceful night and then we can talk to all of his real doctors in the morning.
Weekends are terrible. Dealing with on-call staff and doctors that know nothing about Brendan is hard.

And just our luck, Trevor has figured out the dog door. We tried to keep him away from it, mostly so he doesn’t get clobbered if a dog pops in suddenly!

We hope another day brings healing and improvement.

  1. Sending lots of love and get well thoughts to sweet little Brendan. I hope tomorrow will be a much better day and everyone will get some much needed sleep tonight.
It looks like the broom is Trevor’s “companion of the day”! Too cute! I’m surprised he hasn’t been out the dog door before this!
    Love and hugs,
    Gramma

  2. Good Morning from the East Coast!! Oh no!!! Brendan’s not feeling well!!?? I want to run to AZ and kick the butt of the doctor who did not return your call…any baby, especially Brendan, with a 104 temp, should be priority. Hoping today is a better day and that the rest of the family escapes this nasty little micro organism!! Both boys have been making amazing progress in the previous blogs…hearing Brendan’s voice still brings tears to my eyes! Good luck with Trevor’s discovery of the doggie door!! Tiffanie and Bill, hoping somehow that you find the reserve power to make it through the next couple of days while everyone heals!! Many prayers, many hugs and much love!! 🙂

  3. :I 🙂 and, it won’t be long before he figures out how to get himself, and, his
    ” companion of the day ” through it. 😮 😮 🙂 🙂 🙂
