Year 2 – Week 33 – Day 6

Tuesdays used to be a lot crazier. We are still waiting for Brendan’s therapies to resume, we have a meeting next Wednesday with his new team leader.

Dr. Trevor was checking himself out this morning. Temperature, check. Pulse-ox, check.

I ordered some work boots for both boys for the fall because they were on a killer sale. Trevor tried his on. At first, he was unimpressed.

After clomping around in them a while, he decided he liked them

It was another day of “Inventory Undo”. We took all the toys out and found all the pieces for everything except for the letter U. Trevor was swimming in toys.

The toys are more fun when they are all dumped out of the toy box

This ball dropper had been put up for a few months. Trevor thought it was pretty awesome now.

We got our warning text message: “Incoming Garbage”
We were outside in time to see the truck approaching. The driver must wonder how Trevor does it.

“Hi, truck!”

Dumping the cans is so cool

Brendan thinks Trevor is silly, he just hasn’t been outside to see the truck

Sometimes the boys play nice together, sometimes there is big time jealousy and fighting

Bill and I took Brendan to his pediatrician for a follow up on his illness. His ears were looking good, his lungs sounded beautiful. The doc says that parainfluenza is a tough bug and that once the virus is gone, yucky cold symptoms set in and secondary infections (like what Trevor has) are common. He said Brendan should start making improvements in his numbers by the end of the week.
Brendan did great and didn’t even cry for his checkup. We were in the spongebob room today.

Mommy smooching attack!

We had a respiratory tech visit tonight and switch Brendan’s vent back to pre-hospital settings so hopefully he will have a better night!

  1. Love the pic of you and Brendan smooching, Brendan has such a cute expression on his face, how could it be anything but cute with his face. Trevor watching for the garbage truck is priceless, you should talk to the garbage company to see if they want to put him in an ad. Brendan’s trip to the doctor sounds like you got him through another illness with flying colors, hopefully he will stay healthy now. Hope your mom is feeling better after her knee surgery.
