Year 2 – Week 36 – Day 2

It is nice when there is no drama to write about, just a couple photos.

We had a mystery garbage truck appearance today at 8am. The neighbor directly across the street called in a special pickup for a bunch of tree limbs so the truck was in front of our house for a while with men throwing big branches in and compacting.

Then Trevor had to wait in the shade for the mailman to come down the street.

We got a package today with a new cot bed that I can sleep on for the no-nurse nights. I can set it up near Brendan’s crib and it won’t be as hot as the leather couch. I will try it out tonight!
The boys helped Bill put it together.

It was the perfect place for lots of frog jumps and some crawling chicken games

And treating it like it was a trampoline

It was so hot today, we threw some kabobs out on the patio and let them cook to a nice char. Don’t they look beautiful?

(I lie, we used the grill) But it is going to be 120 degrees tomorrow. Yikes!

  1. Don’t tell Trevor you can call for a special garbage pick-up! He’ll want to have a truck coming every day!
    🙂
We have been hearing how hot it is out your way. They said that even Death Valley is setting records for high temperatures. I won’t complain about our 80’s, even though it’s very humid and muggy.
It looks like the boys had fun on your new cot! I hope you get some rest on it tonight.
It’s nice to see everyone looking well, and that there’s no drama to speak of. You all deserve a break.
Tell Trevor that Gizmo chewed into his new duck that he picked out for him. It will now be “rubber-less” as well as “stuffing-less”! The squeaker still works!
Lots of love and big hugs, I miss you all,

  2. So glad that you had a no drama day! I can’t believe how hot it is getting out there, whereas today is not supposed to be higher than 70 here. The boys looked like they had fun with your new cot. I hope it lets you get some better sleep when you are on Brendan nurse duty. Trevor must have been so excited to see the truck on a Friday. Good thing he is not old enough to know his days of the week or he would expect it every Friday!
