Year 2 – Week 36 – Day 7

I am just doing a quick blog and then I have to pack for the sleep study tonight! We have to check in through the ER entrance at the hospital at 8PM. Once Brendan goes to sleep, they need to collect 6hrs of sleep data (not necessarily continuous). Once they have enough data, they will let us leave, even if it is 3am!

This poses a transportation dilemma, this will be the first time that I will have to take Brendan in the car alone and hope that I do not have to pull over and help him on the side of the road. There is no nursing in the sleep lab, just me. So it will be a long night! I hope he sleeps!

The boys had a busy day. They played with cars and roads.

Brendan was balancing cars on his head and letting them roll off. It was so cute!

The windowsill is an awesome place to run cars

Trevor loved carrying this ball around today. He is getting really good at throwing and also likes to kick it around.

Brendan had therapy again today. It was not as terrible as last week, but I don’t feel like we are gaining much from this experience. Brendan will continue to thrive with the love and help from his family and his nursing staff.

I have to make a list to make sure I don’t forget anything for the trip tonight! We hope for the best results for Brendan!!

  1. I’m sending you all of the love and support that I can for tonight, and I will be hoping and praying that your trip to the hospital alone goes smoothy, and that Brendan will sleep soon after you arrive and do well with his study.
I know you will be exhausted, and it will be stressful. You are so right when you say that Brendan will thrive with the love and support from his family and nurses. You have done a remarkable job so far to assure that he is the amazing little boy that he is. I have great confidence that he will continue to grow in every way; physically, intellectually and emotionally. I couldn’t be more proud and in awe of you and Bill and the love and devotion you show your sons and each other. I love you all so very much.
The pictures are adorable! Brendan and Trevor are always so cute playing together. Today, they are driving little cars on the window sill, it will seem very soon that they are driving your car on your driveway! 🙂
    Love and hugs and kisses=smothering!!

  2. Hope Brendon’s sleep study went well as well as your trip to and from the hospital with no help. The pictures of Brendan balancing cars on his head are so cute, he has made up a new game. Trevor and the orange ball pictures are great, he just seems to be getting a ho-hum attitude as he grows.

  3. Hope all went well, and the results of the study are all positive.
**Will ” Independence Day “, prove to be the day that Brendan becomes “independent” of the ventilator ?? ** – – – – –
Hoping That, goes well too !
