Year 2 – Week 37 – Day 5

Mondays are days with no help, so that also means no outings. It is difficult to keep the boys entertained and wear them out when we are confined to the house. It gets harder to keep them safe when they are both getting to be regular monkeys that want to push and test their boundaries.

I started out the morning by breaking out the huge box of tools. As soon as I saw Brendan trying to climb in, I grabbed the camera.

I really enjoy seeing them tolerate each other in close proximity – at least some of the time!

Brendan looks like an old pro

Trevor did not want to get dressed today, but he mostly put on his own shoes and he wanted the tool belt on.

He is working on his foreman stance

He must be tweezing his eyebrows the manly way

They wore me out by 9:30am

And then they got going. Look who climbed up there all by himself! (I only wish I was kidding!)

He is perfecting his high kick, but he has yet to get up there using this method

Brendan wore his PMV almost the entire day and he wore it out with his talking!

I decided to show the boys the new video of their cousing K-rex growling. Trevor didn’t think much at first but Brendan would burst out in laughter any time Kieran would growl. I had tears of laughter in my eyes watching him laugh at his cousin! After a few replays, Trevor got caught up in it too. After that, just seeing the video start made them laugh although the growl parts really fired them up.

If you don’t follow Kieran’s blog, here is the video that they are watching:

Here is the “reaction video”

It was a hard day physically and very draining emotionally but I just remember how much worse we have been through and how quickly this time will be gone. I try to appreciate the boys even for their tantrums. They are amazing little kids.

  1. You must be exhausted! What a very hectic day for you. However, you sure have some great videos!!
The video of the boys watching Kieran growling is hilarious! The giggles are infectious, and it is so silly!! 🙂 🙂
Brendan voice is a joy to hear, and you can tell that Trevor likes it when he can hear him, too.
Thank you for sharing all of the giggles! Now I can go to bed with a smile. 🙂
    Love and hugs,
    Gramma xxxx

  2. Oh I just love to hear them laugh. They are sooooooooooooooooooo special…Thanks for all you do for us to enjoy sharing their growing up.

  3. I like the hairdo that Trevor has going on with his “foreman stance”. It just completes the picture!
That video of them getting the giggles is too funny! I will have to get my girls to make a silly video too.

  4. 😮 🙂 I can only imagine what it would be like to have all the “cousins” in one room at the same time. Brendan and Trevor surely seemed to be enjoying the “Kieranosaurus” video. My day is off to a good start……again. 🙂 🙂 🙂

  5. Good afternoon from the Lake House!! Brought Uncle Rich up here to recoup and spend some healing family time!! Loved, loved, loved, catching up on all the posts!! Only down-side, 🙁 am unable to view videos!!! Just not downloading for us!! But will try again tomorrow!! What an age Brendan and Trevor are at!! Just one child at this age is tough, having two is down right scary!! Big hugs to you!!! Exploration is #1 on their agenda….sense of danger is no where on their radar. But in no time, they will mature and some sense will develop. Again, I wish that I cold package up some energy reserves for you and send them along! In the meantime, prayers, hugs and love!!! 🙂

  6. I keep showing K the video of the boys laughing at the video of him growling. I thought about taking video of his reaction, but that would just be a bit too meta. 😉

I also love Trevor’s crazy hair, and Brendan’s super leg kicks are pretty hilarious!
