Year 2 – Week 40 – Day 6

It is exhausting having a sick Brendan. There is this pit in our stomachs that just kind of sits and churns as we wait to see if he is going to improve or get worse. His lungs still sound junky, he is back to 5L and he is getting his breathing treatments. Apart from all that, he is acting like his normal spunky, active, spoiled self. We just keep doing what we can to get him healthy.

Trevor got a new toy in the clearance bin at Michael’s of all places. It was marked down to $2.50 so we couldn’t pass it up. He kept calling it a balloon, but it was a lizard sprinkler that went on the hose.

He was unsure at first, but I think I had it turned up too high

I don’t know why I take so many pictures of water-Trevor. Maybe just because they are so cute

“What’s that? Garbage truck?” To answer Aunt Letty’s question – Trevor is a super loyal garbage truck fan and he is out there every Tuesday and Thursday without fail if we are at home.

He is sure he hears the truck now

It was too early, turns out it was on the street perpendicular to ours but he saw it go by

Back to silly water pictures

Trevor has a new love for airplanes and has to stop and watch them go overhead

All done, water-lizard-balloon

He has to wash the mud off of his trunks and shoes

I thought drinking from your shoe was reserved for champagne on special occasions

Brendan couldn’t play in the water but he had plenty of fun inside. He has a new trick where he lifts the play mats up high with his feet and then he can run toys underneath

Here it is, dinner time again. High chair. Can you hear the big sigh?

He is trying to stab the camera with a fork

Both boys had really short naps today so I am wiped out and they should be too! I hope they both get a good night of sleep!

  1. I love all of the Trevor-water pictures! He is adorable looking for the garbage truck! What a cool find the lizard sprinkler is, he will have loads of fun with that. I can’t wait to see pictures of Brendan playing with it, too. 🙂
Poor little Brendan. His little cheeks still look a little flushed. I hope tomorrow will be the “turn-the-corner” day. Silly boy to put things under the play mat with his feet! The last picture shows that cute little smile that always shows through, no matter what he is fighting through. Go, Brendan! You are a little super trooper.
Lots of love and hugs and many healing wishes,
    Gramma xxxx

  2. Water-Trevor hair is the best! It always sticks up in funny ways. I hope Brendan can turn a corner soon too! Poor guy just wants to get better – at least he is playing and acting like himself. I saw his “concentration face” in that mat-lifting picture. =) I can’t imagine what he will think to hide under there in coming days!

  3. Good morning from the East Coast!! Trevor, we just loved your water pictures!! And your loyalty to the garbage truck is unparalleled!! It is the little things in life that mean so much. Trevor, I have so many pictures of your cousin Carrie looking at airplanes. We lived on the 10th floor, near the landing strip of LaGuardia Airport in NYC. Cousin Carrie’s first word was airplane…she too loved looking at them!! Brendan, Brendan…hurry up and heal!! Here’s hoping that today will be more pivotal than yesterday?! Just loved your high chair pictures!! Sooo full of attitude! Big hugs, lots of love and many prayers!! 🙂

Brendan, your “day in the sun” is coming, and, you still seem to make the best of every day, and do it with a big smile! Cheers Brendan ! 🙂 🙂 🙂
Tiffanie, Bill, you two make * amazing *, look easy. 🙂

    • I looked at that last post and realized I needed to add something to it. 😉
Tiffanie, you and your sisters, Heather, Shannon, and Erin, all learned “motherhood” well ! Gramma did an excellent job, teaching you. 🙂
