Year 2 – Week 43 – Day 2

This will be the last giant post for a while, we are hoping for a simple, quiet weekend! We had to say goodbye to aunt and cousins this afternoon. It was a great week, we packed a lot in, and it went too fast! I loved being able to get to know the girls again and I think they had fun too.

They played outside so that they could spend a little time with Brendan before they left. It was time to blow bubbles!

I took the picture too soon, he was actually pursing his lips and trying to figure out how to blow through the wand!

He loves to pop bubbles

Trevor was busy looking for airplanes

And running trucks

The girls remembered they wanted to see the aquarium before they left, and we had just enough time. We got there right when they opened at 10am.

Kayla in a bubble

She loved the large rays

Ashley in a bubble

All kinds of large animals swam right overhead

Teeth!

Trevor had a good time too. It was amazing to see the difference between his last visit here and now. He was more observant, more interested and less afraid. He was also fast and all over the place and difficult to photograph! We got home in time for lunch and nap and then Trevor woke up just in time to go to the airport.

The dinner table tonight was empty. Brendan has this trick he does with his feet to try to prevent the high chair tray from clicking on.

The flight home ended up being delayed for two and half hours!! We are bummed that they had to spend all that time this afternoon sitting in the terminal. They are still in the air as I type and should land in 30 minutes. It will be a very late night getting home.
We all hope they have safe travels all the way to their comfy beds tonight!

  1. It has been so cool seeing all the cousin posts! We hope you all get a quiet, restful weekend, and we hope everyone made it safely home.

  2. More very nice pictures! I love seeing Brendan playing bubbles with the girls. Maybe the next time they visit, he’ll be able to go on all of the field trips and adventures. 🙂
You really did get a lot crammed into the time you had together. I think the boys will miss the girls, especially Trevor. He was a busy boy!
It’s too bad the trip home for Aunt Heather and the girls was so frustrating and so late. At least the rest of the trip was a lot of fun with lots of nice memories made.
I can’t wait for the day when the big “cousin-palooza” can happen!! It’s always fun to see them interacting. I never dreamed I would be so lucky to have 6 beautiful grandchildren, each very different, each so very adorable, and each loved so very much.
Lots of love and hugs and kisses to all from West to East and in-between!!

  3. Good morning from the Lake House!! Wow!! What a great visit!! Loved seeing all the pictures!! The gym time looks like so much fun and the aquarium looked beautiful!! Hoping that “memories” for the boys and their Aunt/Cousins have been made and will surely bring smiles whenever they remember their visit!! By the time this post is written, Heather and the girls should be safely at home!! Prayers, hugs and love!!! 🙂

  4. Aunt Letty hoped that by the time she posted, we would be home. We were – the girls climbed in bed at about 1:45AM!!!! We all had a great time getting to see the boys in person. I will write a blog post soon, although without the awesome pictures (Thank you Aunt Tiffanie!!!). The girls had a great time getting to explore AZ, spend time with the boys, and share favorite recipes. I think the most memorable part was the evening after bath streak! =) Please give some hugs and kisses and tickles and zerberts to the boys. We miss them already. =)
