Year 3 – Week 1 – Day 4

We started the day with an art project. I wanted to try some stamping with the boys and some fingerpaints, so I made them some potato stamps. It was awesome, until I realized what a doofus I was. When you carve letters in to the potato, they have to be backwards to stamp it the right way. DUH!! It was still really cute and we will definitely do this again some time.

Trevor likes doing art, he has such focus

Brendan could think of several other things he would rather be doing

He did some good painting and coloring

But then his art suffered the same fate as the owl cake

After they were cleaned up from the paint, they put stickers on envelopes for me

Gramma took Trevor for a walk again. He is too big for his scooter now, but still too small to reach to pedal his tricycle

Trevor discovered a palm frond and thought he needed to sweep the world with it

Brendan tried a real session with his therapy vest tonight. I am very impressed at how well he handled it! Trevor was more upset about seeing it all than Brendan was wearing it!

Trevor is going to help adjust the settings

We’ll try to have him wear his vest often, even though it will really be the most useful when he is sick. It is good for him to just get used to it.

  1. Good morning from the East Coast! For the boys history lesson, today marks one year after Super Storm Sandy wreaked havoc here on the East Coast. There are still areas of devastation and sadness! But, looking at the blog brings nothing but delight!! Trevor’s “broom” just demonstrates the toddler mind. Anything can be a fun toy!! Shake, shake, shake Brendan!! Good job little man!! And Gramma!! What a wonderful visit you have had with your Grandsons!! 🙂 Definitely inspect Gramma’s luggage upon her departure!! Prayers, love and hugs!! 🙂
