Year 3 – Week 6 – Day 1

The trouble with having a slow day and trying to take it easy is that the boys get much more well rested than we do. They were recharged and ready to GO!! We have a nurse out on leave now and no replacement in sight yet, so I was on my own with them a good part of the day.

Crazies

We spread and sorted toys, it is a go-to activity for me because it always needs to get done and it helps keep them busy

Giving his brother a little kiss

So cute!

I like to sit in a chair like this too

With the lowering kits installed, we were ready to take the new bikes for a spin this afternoon!

They aren’t ready to go very fast, but Trevor is trying out the knee and elbow pads that Gramma got him. They fit nice! He calls them his knee helmets. I know he is going to need these!

Gramma also got baskets and bells for the bikes. Brendan loves the flick-style bell with the compass.

Don’t laugh at Brendan’s outfit! We were headed outside and it was cool, so we grabbed the first soft pants we saw. They don’t match at all!

Trevor learned how to blow dandelion seeds all over the yard 🙂

Trevor is learning really fast how to balance and walk with his bike. I was impressed!

I haven’t put the decals on the bikes yet. The baskets came with a big circle one to put on the front, I think I need to make a custom sticker instead!

  1. Let’s try this again! Trevor looks like monkey-boy on his toy box! It is so cute that he was giving Brendan a kiss. It’s adorable the way Trevor says the names of the trucks. And Gene Kelly has nothing on his dancing!
Good thing to learn so well…blowing dandelion seeds all over the grass! 😉 You’ll have beautiful yellow “flowers”!
It looks like the boys will have a lot of fun with their bikes. I think Trevor’s first attempt at riding it was pretty good! Brendan won’t be too far behind by the looks of it! Lots of fun!
What a day of lots of nice pictures! Some cuteness extreme, some silliness, lots of talent…really a nice combination. I sit in my chair that way all the time, too….yeah right! 😉
I wish I could say I was feeling better, but I don’t. This malady is an evil thing! I can’t find relief anywhere. I surely wouldn’t wish it on anyone! I’m not a patient patient. I’ve got things to do and places to go! Thanks for brightening my day.
    Lots of love and hugs,
    Gramma xxxx

  2. Good morning from the chilly East Coast!! Uncle Rich and I so enjoyed your latest posts!! The last video is just amazing….it shows how beautifully the boys are growing and maturing!! I used to have a bike just like the boys and remember learning how to ride so I could keep up with Tiff’s Dad and Uncle Robert….I was 2 and a half. Trevor and Brendan, have fun learning how to peddle!!! To Gramma, we have no words, just huge, gentle hugs and wishes for a rapid recovery!! Shingles can bring down the mightiest and toughest of people! So sorry 🙁 Prayers, hugs and love to everyone!!! 🙂

  3. Somewhere, I’m sure I have a color slide of me on my first two wheel “bike”.
It had a belt drive, instead of a chain. I put a lot of miles on that bike. 🙂
I don’t think I ever “sat” in a chair that way, but there was an arm chair in the house in Copiague, that I would sit across, head on one “arm” and my feet on the other.

  4. I love the bikes!! The glider bikes are such a great idea. K is practicing so he can try them out when he visits. Also, K has the exact same white with bright colored dinosaur PJ’s that Trevor is wearing in the video! He doesn’t have Trevor’s dance moves yet.
