First, I will post the cute Brendan pictures that Bill emailed to me today. They had quite a bonding adventure day. Brendan got to go on bike rides, errands to the mailbox and park, and they had company for dinner.

I am so glad he is still doing well. I miss big B and Li’l B!
Trevor had a VERY FULL day. It was garbage day at Gramma’s house. Gizmo made sure to be on lookout for the truck.

We went outside so that Trevor could see his first snow while we waited for the truck to come by. He LOVED snow!!

He really likes to help bring in the cans.

Once we were warm and dry, Trevor got a haircut. How could we be in Gramma’s house without a haircut?

Gramma rocked Trevor to sleep and then held him for his entire nap. Such a spoiled boy!!

Granddaddy stopped by to visit and picked up his birthday artwork.

Then Aunt Heather, Uncle Kevin, Kayla and Ashley, Aunt Erin, Uncle Jules and Caleb came over. Kayla was a living fort and the little boys loved it!

Uncle Kevin put burgers on the grill in the cold. Caleb “dug in” to dinner!

We did a little mini-Christmas and gave Gramma a giant stocking full of stuff to open. The little boys helped.

Instead of birthday cake, Aunt Heather wanted a sundae bar. Yum!

We made our best attempt to get a picture with Great-Grandma and all the great-grandchildren

Aunt Heather gets birthday tackles as everyone gets ready to say goodbye.

I wrap up the pictures with exactly 40 pictures on Aunt Heather’s 40th birthday. We hope she enjoyed her evening and we are so glad we could be here to celebrate.

Trevor and I were supposed to go home tomorrow, but as I type this a severe winter storm is blowing in and we could get a foot of snow due to the lovely “Lake Effect”. In order to avoid an hour drive in dangerous road conditions and a possible long delay at the airport, I was able to use Southwest’s severe weather accommodations policy and bump our ticket to Sunday at no cost. We will fly home a little earlier in the day and by then the roads should be better and the airport not a mess. (WE HOPE!!!!)
This trip is flying by, it is pretty surreal. Thanks Gramma for rocking and holding little Trevor while I did this giant post.

Thank you for such a memorable birthday! I got to start my next 40 years being a haircut stool for T, being covered in T hair, having him sweep me clean, playing puffs, getting tackled, and giving plenty of tickles and zerberts! We feel bad that the snow forced a change in plans, because that can be stressful, but it is cool that you might get to see Ashley’s recital live! The girls are pretty excited that they get a cousin and aunt sleepover tonight too!
Good morning from the snowy East Coast!! Another fantastic post!! Starting with the classic Brendan smile and ending with family love and fun!!! Happy Birthday Aunt Heather!! Ashley, just know that your recital will be terrific!! Prayers for a safe journey for all, many hugs and lots of love!! 🙂
