Year 3 – Week 8 – Day 6

It was a strange day for Trevor. He ran a low-grade fever on and off all day and was just not himself. He was so tired, needy, restless, and just didn’t know what to do with himself. He had his last dose of steroid tonight, so hopefully he will start to improve from here.

We all felt cooped up so I mentioned walking around the mall. Trevor heard and then INSISTED that we go to the mall. He kept saying “mall mall go go go”
He saw the cool train, even though it wasn’t running.

He wanted nothing to do with Santa Claus or any of the elves or snowmen

He will whisper to Gramma what he wants for Christmas instead

Bill sent me adorable, healthy, happy Brendan pictures. I am so glad to see both my boys, I am missing them very much!

We will be getting on an airplane tomorrow. (Third time’s the charm?) I think Trevor might try to pack Gizmo in his carry on, we will have to double check his bags.

  1. Usually, I am the one who is getting packed and ready to leave the next day. This time, it’s Mommy and Trevor leaving in the morning. 🙁
It has been a strange week with the weather being extremely cold, very snowy, then warmer, then cold again, then windy… But the hardest part was the bad virus that caused illness, isolation, and inability to go places and see people…and a trip to the doctor, and then the ER. Still, it went very quickly, and it’s hard to say goodbye. I will miss Trevor very much (and Tiffanie, too). Gizmo will miss Trevor and all of the attention he gave him!
We will all hope that the illness will not go home to Brendan or Bill. Everyone needs to be well for Christmas! Safe journey home, Tiff and Trevor.
Lots of love and very big hugs,
    Gramma xxxx

    • Extra cute Brendan pictures today! I love the one of him playing with the Monster Truck. 🙂 He is always adorable on the bike bundled up and with his helmet on.

  2. Good morning from the East Coast! Cold and snowy here too…but by Sunday it will be 60+ degrees….we will all be sick here after that! Here’s hoping that the trip home will be uneventful and all the viruses stay in IL (sorry Gramma!). Am sure that each parent, caring for one little boy each, was a welcome break, but the family surely misses being together!! Safe journey Tiffanie and Trevor!!! Loved the picture of Trevor whispering to Grandma and the Brendan/Bill pictures from AZ!! Prayers, hugs and love!! 🙂

  3. Great B & B pictures, especially the last one, sitting in the chair. 🙂
As I write this, you are probably on your way to the airport…..Safe Home, and Merry Christmas 🙂 🙂 🙂
