Year 3 – Week 11 – Day 2

Things are finally starting to get back to “normal”. Brendan is not back to his full food settings yet, but he is making better progress now and his oxygen needs are more like they were before.
I kept the boys busy this morning while Bill got the ceiling in the playroom textured. I hate the smell of wet drywall mud, but it smells like progress! Tomorrow we hope to tape and roll primer (if the boys cooperate!)

Having Trevor pinned in baby jail with Brendan and I means he didn’t “get his wiggles out”. So right before lunch, I decided to take him for a walk.

We went around the whole block which is 3/4 of a mile! He kept us this pace the whole trip, and still fought his nap time. (sorry for shaky video, walking with cell phone camera = crappy quality!)

Trevor is a non-stop talker now. He comes out with the best stuff too, it makes me smile. He talked all day about how fire hydrants are where the fire trucks plug in their hoses.

He stopped at Maggie Moo’s house, but she wasn’t outside.

We won’t talk about why Brendan had to have a sink bath. It may be related to him not pooping for more than two days.

Trevor went to Lowes with me today for more painting supplies. He was such an awesome boy in the store, I told him he could have an ice cream cone.

Brendan just wanted the cone part

It is my turn on the cot tonight. I hope the boys both sleep through the night.

  1. Cute pictures! Brendan’s hair looks so red! He is cute in the sink, and I love the first picture of him with his cone…what a look! 🙂
There goes Trevor in fast motion! I love the way he runs. It looks so warm and sunny there. We’re getting 6-12″ of snow through tonight and tomorrow. Then the -50 mile an hour wind chills tomorrow night! Schools are already canceled for Monday, with a high of -11degrees. The snow is getting really deep!
    Lots of love and hugs,

  2. I must have slept very soundly last night, I was totally unaware that Northern Illinois had been “picked up”, and “set down” above the Arctic Circle…. didn’t even hear a single dish rattle. 🙂 It has been a while since we’ve had this much snow. :o, and the cold is on us now, and supposed to set a new record.
It was nice to, ( briefly ), “escape to warmer places”,this morning, through the pictures and video. Both those boys just get more awesome every day !!
