Year 3 – Week 11 – Day 3

I always want to start off with “it was a very busy day”. I should go back and see how many entries start that way. It WAS busy.
It was Daddy-day with the boys because I prepped, cleaned, taped, and painted in the playroom. We have some momentum going on this project now and we are all eager to get it finally finished! As hard as I worked, it was almost relaxing compared to taking care of the two wild munchkins. I got the walls all done. The flooring comes in later this week so we want to get the painting all done so we can install it!

“What’s old is new again” works very well with toys. We had put up the ball pit for several months, and the boys were thrilled to see it again! I only took a few shots and a video. The hilarity of the ball pit was great. Bill shook it, spun it, flung the boys around and they were all laughing, but if I stood there with my camera, I wouldn’t have gotten so much work done!

After dinner tonight, we heard the ice cream truck in the neighborhood. It was already getting dark, so Bill took Trevor out with a flashlight to see if they could find it. They finally did see it come out of a side street, but it turned the wrong way and they couldn’t flag him down.
Trevor had a blast anyway on his flashlight walk. (cell phone pics in the dark stink!)

He still had to stop and look at rocks.

Brendan got a turn to go on a flashlight walk too. He went pretty far!
We are back to our old schedule this week. Our nurse on leave comes back Tuesday. Hopefully we can get our routine back in shape!

  1. Silly boys in the ball pit! It’s always nice to end a day with a smile from seeing 2 adorable little boys having fun. 🙂
It’s nice that you were able to get some taping and painting done. I can’t wait to see how the playroom turns out. I have no doubt that it will be great!
    Lots of love and hugs,

  2. Yup !! watching that fun is heart warming ! 🙂
The Sun, shining in through my living room windows is, quite warm…….
The snow on the outside window sill, is NOT melting !! 😮
Yes, it really is that ( double digit below Zero wind chills ) cold out there, but in here, there’s a video of two “*monkeys*” playing in their “ball pit”, and all is well with the world. 🙂 🙂
