Year 3 – Week 11 – Day 5

I have a ton of Trevor pictures, so I will start with the Brendan cuteness. His old nurse came back today and swore that he has grown an inch and lost some of his baby chub. They had a good day. Brendan helped me cook tonight, although mostly he ate his favorite mustard pretzels while I did all the work.

He is the cutest!

I took Trevor to the zoo this morning. It was the perfect day for it. It was cool, slightly overcast, and since school just resumed from holiday break, there were no buses full of kids!
Trevor got to feed the giraffes. He has been talking about it since.

Trevor has his souvenir cup that gets free refills. He was very excited to have his “own Coke”.

We took a break here and watched his favorite (fla)”mingos” fighting.

He wanted to ride on the carousel and picked out his own animal

We were turning on to our street when we got the text that the garbage truck was coming. We raced to get Trevor out of the carseat and to his wall, just in time!

He hasn’t been able to see the truck in a while because it comes at such odd times now (usually in the middle of nap time).

My plan mostly worked. Trevor took a good nap up until the point some jerk with a very loud motorcycle decided to rev and run up and down in front of my house. I was impressed with Trevor though, he stayed in his bed and rested, awake, for about 40 minutes while I finished painting what I had started. When I got him out of bed, he said “Good boy nap”.
I am going to go paint more now!

  1. I love the Brendan video tonight!! 🙂 It is SO cute to hear him saying words! Go Brendan!
Trevor at the zoo is also very cute! I guess you need to get him a giraffe! He wasn’t a bit afraid. 🙂
It always makes me smile to see Trevor perched on his wall to wait for the garbage truck.
Great blog! Adorable pictures! Happy boys! What a nice way to end the day. 🙂
Lots of love and big hugs,

  2. Good morning from the still chilly East Coast!! “Little” Mikey and family came to visit last night..it was the first time that I needed to look up to meet his eyes! I wanted to cry, he’s growing too fast!! Then this morning I read your blog and heard Brendan’s first words and saw the delight in Trevor’s eyes, feeding the giraffe…it was all over!! I was sobbing!! Happy tears of course!! What a delightful blog!! Prayers, hugs and much love!! 🙂

  3. So AWESOME to see how well the boys are doing! Both are so spirited and seeing Brendan’s eyes sparkle just does my heart good. Hugs to all of you!!
