Year 3 – Week 11 – Day 6

After taking great efforts in taping with all the tricks I had read online, I peeled the tape off the walls and was SO mad to see seeping/bleeding/run marks everywhere, especially on the two wood-paneled walls where it can’t be touched up. I even bought the pricier Frog tape. AARRG. So Trevor and I are going shopping tomorrow for some materials to put up a border along the ceiling. This is just a setback in playroom progress, and doesn’t do much for my DIY project confidence.

We had a PT session today. Brendan blew away his PT who hadn’t seen him in a month. He is walking so steady and navigating bumpy ground and inclines so well. He blew away both his OT and PT by diving in to this pile of leaves without a care as to what texture it was or what sound it made. He loved it!

Part of his PT exercises involved walking up and down the bumps and hills along the wall while he colored with chalk. Both boys liked this too.

Then they colored on the tree

Tonight we decided to get the boys out for the last of the Christmas light celebrations. Most houses in the neighborhood have their lights off/down now. But until the 12th, we can still do ZooLights!

They were both mesmerized as long as we didn’t stop moving for too long.

This tree has to be at least 80ft tall. I love this color blue, that is a lot of lights!

Bye, cricket!

Happy boys! We got them home, bathed, and put to bed at a reasonable time too.

  1. We didn’t have a problem using frog tape when we painted our kitchen. It worked really well. Maybe it was just a sign that you needed a border?! 🙂
The boys look so cute drawing together. Brendan is making great progress in so many ways. That’s really awesome!
What a treat to go see the Zoo Lights before it closes. It’s so nice that you could do a family outing.
    Lots of love and hugs,

  2. Thanks for sharing the family outing to Zoo Lights. I forgot how beautiful it was. It is great to see both happy boys enjoying the sites together.

Brendan is making such strides it is a testament to his determination and your family love that he does so well.

  3. I printed out BT31104, Brendan standing, Trevor playing with the truck.
It was about time I updated the picture on my “bulletin board”, above the computer desk. They’re getting bigger every second!!! 😮 🙂 🙂
Sorry to hear about the tape/paint thing…..not sure what happened there.
The “Blue light Tree” is a great picture, and yes, “that is a lot of lights!” 🙂 🙂
