Year 3 – Week 38 – Day 5

There was no nurse today, so I was desperate for something to help entertain us all through the morning. On the way back from the mine the other day, Trevor kept insisting that we were going to IKEA. I don’t know if he saw a billboard or what, but he just knew we were on the way. He said..”Almost theeeerre!” So today we went.

The best part about IKEA is the spinny shopping carts.

Trevor did not nap again. The evening was a test of my patience. We have another brand new fill-in nurse working a shift tomorrow. I am not excited. And the summer marches on…

  1. You are very brave to take both boys, by yourself, to IKEA! It looks like they had a lot of fun. What do you do when they go in opposite directions? 🙂 I remember how much Trevor liked to spin in the cart, it looks like Brendan liked it, too.
It feels like such a long time since I was there and got to be part of the IKEA trips, and the Sam’s Club trips, and the Costco trips, and the Lowe’s trips! I’ve never been along on a trip that included Brendan! I look forward to it. 🙂
    Lots of love and hugs,

  2. Good morning from the row, row, row your boat…get out the scuba gear, East Coast!! The boys would have a blast with their rain gear!! Heard a rumor that you need coats in Chicago!! And then there’s AZ, in the middle of summer!! Loved the IKEA trip! And Trevor sleeping in his rocker…such a character!! Poor Brendan in the car wash! 🙁 Soon, he will be loving it!! Hoping that your fill-in nurse is a quick learner and the day goes smoothly!! Prayers, hugs and love!! 🙂

  3. Aaaaaaahhhh, A whole new “spin” on shopping at IKEA 🙂 🙂 🙂
😉 Not quite coats, but a light jacket night, last night. . . . . rain coats earlier. 😮

  4. Jeremiah pulled the same, “I know where we are.” stunt on me this week.

We were pulling into the Amish Market and he started yelling, “CHEESE! CHEESE!” because that’s what he gets there.

Incredible perseverance getting through IKEA all by yourself with both of them! I might have collapsed halfway through and they would have had to roll me out on a furniture dolly.
