Year 3 – Week 38 – Day 6

Today was frustrating and exhausting. I am pretty much done with random nurses doing cold-start fill-ins. I guess it is all good prep for when our nursing hours get cut soon because I would rather have been alone.

I am trying to adapt to the napless Trevor routine. Not having the mental break in the middle of the day is rough too.

On a positive note, Bill and I took the boys to the burger place again for dinner. They were well behaved. Brendan drank some Sprite and licked on peanut butter milkshake, french fries, and burger buns.

The only pictures I took today are of Trevor’s megablocks masterpiece. I built the big solid blue part and the little side garage and he did the rest. He called it “The Fire Station” and apparently fire trucks climb it like King Kong to spray fires from the top.

  1. I am so sorry about your failed nurse experience again. It must be beyond frustrating. πŸ™
It’s hard when little ones give up naps when they really do need one. That was quite a Fire Station you made with Trevor! He sure likes to build things.
It’s nice that you had another family dinner out. Brendan sipping Sprite and licking a milkshake, fries and burger buns! He must like “eating out”! πŸ™‚
I hope tomorrow is a better day. I wish I could do something to help.
Lots of extra hugs and love,

  2. Good morning from the East Coast!! The various “lakes” in our yard are gradually receding and the sun has reappeared!! So sorry that the “nurse” thing has not gone smoothly! Obviously the new nurse was not quick on the uptake and you spend more time teaching him/her instead of getting on with the day! Ugh!! Also sorry that Trevor seems to be giving up on naptime! Oh Boy!! Loved Trevor’s lego creation and am happy for you that, as a family you can enjoy eating out!! Including hugs full of energy, prayers and lots of love!!! πŸ™‚
