Year 3 – Week 49 – Day 4

This is Trevor at the end of his bed, leaning out the door saying, “What’s the matter? What’s the matter? Mommy? What do I need, Mommy?”
Tonight he needs some Squirt to drink, he has hiccups (with sound effects), he keeps dropping his socks over the edge, and his wall is scary.

He looks at the camera because he knows I am watching him

We had therapy this morning, both boys went with me to the grocery store, then they both skipped napping all together. Brendan was out cold in minutes when it was bedtime. Trevor is still battling.

  1. Poor Trevor! I know how bad it feels to want to sleep, and you just can’t turn off all of the thoughts going around in your head. When he was a baby, he slept so well. I hope it’s a phase and just because he’s growing and taking in so much in a day. He’s a smart little boy, and very sensitive, which are good qualities, but at almost 3, it’s a scary world when you’re tired. I think he’ll be fine.
It’s good that Brendan sleeps well at night. They sure play hard enough all day to be tired enough to sleep!
    Lots of love and hugs,
    Gramma xxxx

  2. Good morning from the Lakehouse!! I totally agree with Gramma…also hope that this is just a phase. Around 4 years old is when children have a better ability to differentiate between real and unreal. Your cousin Carrie was fearful of trees…sure made it difficult having fun at the park! And little Mikey saw spirits…kept him up at night…he would end up in Carrie’s room frequently! Hoping soon for Trevor that he will learn that his room is safe and sleeping is OK. He has terrific parents to guide him through these hurdles!! Prayers, hugs and love!! 🙂

  3. It’s a bit later in the day…..I had lunch with Erin, Caleb, and Rhys. It was a GOOD Day.
Hope Trevor gets through this latest “phase” quickly. Happy that Brendan seems to be doing well.
