Year 4 – Week 4 – Day 1

We want to wish Granddaddy, aka trainsdad, a very happy 71st birthday. We were too busy and tired for a blog yesterday when it was his actual birthday. Big love and hugs your way, hope your birthday was a good one! Funniest part is, it was 71 degrees here yesterday, with gray skies. 🙂

We went playground scouting and found another really good spot to go. It has lots of age appropriate equipment and lots of shade. We spent a few hours there this afternoon.

Bill has a pretty yucky cold, one of the perks of having to go to his office more. We are all hoping the rest of us avoid it. The weather is too nice right now to be stuck inside being sick.

  1. What a cool park you found to play at! It looks like the boys had a lot of fun. 🙂
71 degrees sounds very nice right now, it’s 22 degrees and snowing here as I write. We could get an inch or more, but it’s just a hint of what’s to come! It’s much to early for Winter!
Happy Birthday, Granddaddy! I’m sure you enjoyed your traditional beef stew and lemon meringue pie birthday dinner with Aunt Heather, Kayla and Ashley tonight.
I wish I could have played at the park with you today. I miss my AZ boys!
Tomorrow we’re helping to celebrate Aunt Erin’s 30th birthday. Wish you all could be here, too.
Get well soon, Bill. Stay well everyone else!
Lots of love and big hugs,
    Gramma xxxx

  2. The 71st was a great Birthday ! Dinner out with Erin,Jules,Caleb, and Rhys.
Then, last night, Beef Stew and Lemon Pie with Heather, Kayla, and Ashley,
( I took Kevin to O’hare to catch his flight, earlier in the day ). Today ?, well it has started beautifully with new fallen snow over everything, and photos two boys in a playground ! ( I may not have been able to talk with them, but I did get to see some great pictures of them.

    😉 71, with gray skies 😉 🙂 🙂 🙂 OK, my “skies” are, getting a bit gray. 😉 😉
Railroad club open house this morning, and this afternoon, bowling with Aunt Erin Uncle Jules, ans cousins Caleb and Rhys. Rhys is going to bowl a “perfect game” 🙂 🙂 OK, no “gutter balls”, and for a few seconds as the pins are reset, ” no pins left standing ” 🙂 🙂 🙂

  3. Good morning from the East Coast!! Chilly here too Gramma!! Rain in the 30’s feels colder than snow in the 20’s…go figure!! Am happy that Granddad had a happy Birthday! Brendan and Trevor, that is a mighty fine playground!!! I personally would love to try out the super fast tunnel slide!! Trevor, nice job tuning up the merry-go-round!!! Bill..hoping that your cold is short lived and you feel better real soon! Sending love, hugs and prayers!! 🙂
