I didn’t know I had big plans when I woke up this morning. Yesterday, I saw a picture on a friend’s facebook wall of a cool slide and decided that I had to take the boys there someday. Then someday turned in to today! We drove about 35 miles to get to this park, but it was worth it. The road trip part is fun too.
Brendan found a gila monster in the park!

It is a slide! This sculpture/slide was done so well, I love it. The boys loved it too!

Gila Monsterishness must be contagious

A concrete tube full of sand is very entertaining

Other than the giant gila monster, this place had the U.S.A.’s largest sundial. (not that impressive to me, I didn’t even take a picture) It also was a big district full of shops and restaurants. I think Gramma would have loved it.
We walked around a while and found a second playground.

There were lots of nice fountains and gardens

The boys were running on the bridge

It was a great morning and it gave Bill time to put up Christmas lights on the house and do laundry today!

I love the gila monster slide! All of the pictures of the boys playing on it are great! What a nice playground, we’ll have to go there sometime when I’m there. 🙂 It’s always nice to hear you and the boys had a fun day, and the cute pictures made my day!
It’s raining here right now, but tomorrow it gets much colder, windy, and we’re going to get as much as 3-5 inches of snow! Just what we need!
I’ll need a couple of boys with new snow pants to shovel! 😉
Lots of love and hugs and thank you’s for this blog full of cuteness overload!
Gramma xxxx
Loved the whole blog. Full of fun but each picture I see of Brendan shows the love he has for you and Trevor. His smile and just the way he looks so adorable and his expressions of love are so captured in the photographs. Trevor is so fun loving and always ready to jump down a slide. What a great trip and what great memories you are giving your sons. It is a delight to read each and every blog. Happy Thanksgiving week. v
That “Gila Monster” be one BIG lizard 😮 😮 😮
Glad the boys are still “too small”to bother with, if they had been bigger, that “monster” might have thought them worth “tasting” 😮 😮 🙂 🙂 🙂
It’s always good to see Brendan and Trevor, having fun. 🙂
Good morning from the , yes there is a Noreaster on the way, East Coast!! Tough to fathom that today’s AM, 60 degrees will be wind and snow tomorrow!! But, not tough to fathom is this incredible post filled with fun and smiles!! The Gila Monster slide is awesome!! Growing up, all our playgrounds were dull and boring…and most likely very unsafe!! It is wonderful seeing you and the boys enjoying a fun filled day!! Prayers, hugs and love!! 🙂
