Year 4 – Week 5 – Day 6

Happy Thanksgiving! We sure do miss all of our family today and wish that we could be with them on this holiday. It was 85 degrees and sunny here today, it would have been the perfect place for everyone to be this year! 🙂

We so appreciate the Newton family for including us in their Thanksgiving this year. We felt pretty special, Tammy went out of her way to set up special things for the boys, and she cooked an awesome meal!

Taylor helped the boys color at their special table and make ornaments

Trevor said that he was eating out of a wheel! Brendan gobbled up lots of mashed potatoes and gravy before he started giving everything to the dog.

It was a great time to be outside playing with the hose. Trevor is trying to get the water with his “smacker” aka ping pong paddle

Brendan has only been to this house a few times before, but he remembered that there were cats and he was on a mission to find them!

Trevor ate lots of whipped cream for dessert

And then he started feeding the dog

Cody built the boys a giant couch fort just like he used to do when he was little

Can you spot the Trevor?

The tackled Cody to show their appreciation for the awesome fort.

The car ride home claimed one over-tired little boy. The other went to sleep easily too.

The whole family is fighting off illness. Symptoms have been very minor and we are doing everything we can to stay healthy. It was good to spend today with friends and we hope everyone gets well and stays well!

We had a nice dinner and a small gathering this year. We all missed Great-Grandma very much.
Wish it was warmer here! It was 15 degrees when everyone went home!

  2. Good morning from the East Coast!!! Happy Thanksgiving, day after!! Sure looks like the family enjoyed a fun day with good friends!!! Happy to see that you were able to share Thanksgiving with special people!! The fort was amazing!!! What terrific friends you have!!! We enjoyed our day with your cousins and shared many memories and laughed heartily!! Hoping you all are feeling much better and enjoying that nice warm weather!! Prayers, hugs and love!!!! 🙂

  3. I had the good fortune of being able to spend yesterday with your aunts, Heather, and Erin, your uncles Kevin and Jules, and your cousins Kayla, Ashley, Caleb, and Rhys, Gramma, and Grandpa Dusty, and Gizmo. I have so much to be thankful for.
    🙂 🙂 I didn’t “spot” Trevor but I did see a “hand and an elbow” that looked suspiciously like his 😮 😉 🙂 🙂

  4. Happy Belated Thanksgiving!! I am glad you guys had such an awesome day! That fort looked like a heap of fun! I know the boys enjoyed it immensely! 85 degrees huh? We boasted 50 degrees less as a high with snow flurries throughout the day….brrrr! I had the pleasure of cooking dinner with my Granny for the first time in 17 yrs! Then we spent that evening at an invite for dinner (part 2). So, even with the cold, my day was grand! Sending lots of love and hugs your way for the holidays
