The whole family is still fighting a little bug, but symptoms have been very mild even for Brendan. Our biggest enemy is cabin fever or boredom, so we went playground scouting again. I have seen this place from the road every time I go to Joann, so we went to check it out.
It has this giant snake of climbing ropes for younger kids, although it is still too advanced for the boys.

There is this 50ft tower of climbing craziness for bigger kids and adults. I can see Kayla and Ashley dangling on there.

They have nice playground equipment, but the boys didn’t care for it much once they spotted something else…

GIANT splash pad. I did not realize that it would be running today. I can not keep my boys away from splash pads. Good thing I had dry clothes in the car anyway.

The perfect shirt for Trevor… the bottoms reads, “My Parents”. That is how I feel today!

We were right next to “The Waffle Fry Store”

The boys inherited a cool bike trailer from Jack and Olivia because Jack is too big for it now. It will be perfect for this year’s Christmas light-seeing bike rides with both boys.

We did a test ride down the street.

Bill had to weld a custom mount to get the trailer to work with the three-wheeled bike.

And last, Brendan wanted to update everyone with his vocal skills. He says a lot of great words now but it is hard to catch it on camera. Trevor was in a time out (you can hear how he feels about that in the background).
He keeps asking for “Big Robot” because he wants to watch the movie “Iron Giant”.

What a cool park you found! It looks like the boys had a blast! I would love to see Kayla and Ashley climb that monster rope thingy!! You have become the official “playground hunters”, and you should have your own show on TV! 🙂
That’s a nice hand-me-down kid-trailer you have. It should be a lot of fun looking at Christmas lights this year. Speaking of lights, we have the Winter Wonderland Christmas lights this year, after they said last year, when we took you and Trevor, was going to be the last year.
We had a turkey dinner for the third day in a row tonight. Leftovers are nice, but tomorrow will be the last of it! 🙂
Lots of love and hugs,
Gramma xxxx
Forgot Brendan’s video! I love to hear his little voice. He is saying so many more things since since I was there is month ago. It’s so cute to hear him say Mommy! He’s doing so well with his eating and his talking now, he be a little chatterbox before you know it! xxxx
What a wonderful blog I had no idea he had so many words under his little belt. What a cutie. Poor Trevor hate to hear him unhappy….however time out is the best corrector. love
” 50ft tower of climbing craziness ” 😮 😮 😮
Now that a will be new experience of ” learning the ropes ” 🙂
Hearing Brendan speak – – it may be overcast and wet here this morning, but Brendan certainly brightened the day with his talking 🙂
Hope the boys get to see lots of Christmas lights from their “new-to-them” Bike Trailer.
The bulletin boards I visit have an “edit” function. I’m spoiled. This blog doesn’t. 😮 Remind self, 😉 Proofread, proofread, proofread – – – – – – – –

Good afternoon from the east coast!!! THANK YOU for Brendan’s video!!!! Uncle Rich and I were thrilled to hear him (and Trevor too in the background!!)!!!! We laughed and cried…happy tears!! I agree with Grandma, you should publish a book…the ups and downs of our local playgrounds featuring the critiques of THE dynamic duo, of Trevor and Brendan!! Prayers, hugs and love!!!!! 🙂
What a great park!! I have never seen a climber that big at a park. I am gladd they were not really into it lol….at least not yet. That splash pad looked huge and seemed to have lower pressure….just right for the boys.
They are super cute in the trailer. You know I would have put some miles on it lol. They will have some fun, comfy trip around to see lights this year.
Now, you know I had tears in my eyes watching the video! I am such a sap lol. I started off laughing because apparently cows say BYE, BYE 🙂 He is just talking up a storm and I am missing it. I love the “big hug” phrase. I just want to squeeze him tight. Then you know when he signed “please Mommy” the tears came. That was the cutest thing EVER!!! I miss you guys so much!!
