Year 4 – Week 8 – Day 4

I spent all morning at Walgreens with Trevor waiting for the health clinic for me. He was such a good boy and I got diagnosed with “croup”. I don’t have the nighttime stridor that Trevor does, but just coughing constantly interrupting sleep. So it is steroids and inhalers for me too.

The afternoon was fun! A giant box arrived with the boys’ Christmas gift from Gramma!
It was an awesome experience to see how excited the boys were. Since Gramma could not be with us to witness the hilarity, I took a long video.

They are really going to get some good use out of this.

Trevor read a construction book to “the combo” at bedtime. Then we tucked it in with a blanket and he gave it a kiss. 😀 😀

Brendan is not quite tall enough to reach the pedals, but he just loves to climb all over it and try to get in Trevor’s way.

  1. It was a big surprise to get a phone call from Trevor today telling me, “The combo is here! And I love it!”. That was quite a happy dance, and even Brendan danced a little. He looks very dapper in his glasses! (and very cute) It was nice to talk to Brendan, too. I’m so glad the boys are so thrilled with their early Christmas present! 🙂
It’s very funny that the combo got a story and tucked in with a blanket! Where does it sleep?? 😉
The video was so much fun to see since I couldn’t be there in person to watch all the excitement. It made me smile and laugh, and what a nice way to end an otherwise stressful day. Thank you boys! 🙂
    Lots of love and hugs,

  2. Seeing the “Happy Dances” started the day off on the right foot.
Hope the medication knocks your croup, ” out cold ” ;), and you are all well and happy soon.

  3. With such tender loving care to the combo, it should last for a long time!
We hope the steroids don’t make you as hyper as Trevor, although maybe you could keep up with him? =)
Hoping you all get well soon! There is a box on its way from here….just shipped today….

  4. Good morning from the East Coast! Watching the boys full of excitement and so happy was just terrific!! Gramma, great gift idea!!! Hoping that your “croup” will soon be history Tiffanie!!! Prayers, hugs and love!!! 🙂
