We spent Friday morning at AZ Mills mall looking for some new hiking boots for Trevor. He has an upcoming adventure with Daddy and he needed something really solid. We ended up in Stride-Rite and splurged on some fancy new shoes for Brendan too. He loves them so much that he wore them right up until bedtime.
When he runs, the headlights light up.
We did find some great hikers for Trevor. He is growing out of shoes so fast, I hope these last more than a couple of months. At least Brendan will get to wear them. Trevor needed an 8.5!! Brendan still can wear a 6.5 but we got him a 7.

I was so proud, Trevor broke a piece off and gave it to Brendan without being asked.

We met a new friend from down the street that came whizzing by the house on his big wheel. He is four, but not a permanent resident, just staying with his grandma for a few weeks. He loaned Brendan his Big Wheel for a while. Brendan couldn’t reach the pedals at all, but he was in love with just walking his feet and pushing along. He would not get off.

When we came in, Brendan had an epic tantrum for almost 30 minutes. He wanted more Big Wheel!!
Here’s a bike riding video. Trevor is getting really good at using the brake lever and is starting to coast and balance like a champ!
I love the new shoes! Brendan’s new shoes are so cute, I’d like to see the headlights work when he walks. 🙂 I can’t believe how big Trevor’s feet are getting!

Does Brendan need a Hot Wheels kind of trike for awhile before his glider? He sure seemed to like it!

We’re supposed to get snow tomorrow. We’re getting a new garage door today, just before the bad weather comes again.

You gave me a flash back, way back, but I used to get Chuck’s (my son) shoes at Stride Rite and he grew so fast that it used to be if they grew out of shoes fitted and purchased at their store they replaced them with the next pair free if it was in a six month period. Now that was a long time ago but if Trevor is growing that fast in shoes it might still be a possibility.

Check out the new kicks! I cannot believe Trevor is in an 8.5! Boy is that kids growing fast! I am sure Brendan is running and stomping up a storm now that he has headlights to react to his steps! Great choice for fun AND exercise.

I did not even know they still made Big Wheels! I guess you learn something new every day. What a cute rider on a classic ride. I am glad they have a new friend even though he is just visiting. Enjoy!

Good evening from the, awaiting an “epic blizzard” east Coast!! We just love the new shoes!! Big cousin Michael would surely have slept with those shoes Brendan!! Light up headlights…..how cool!!
